Nice ride

We hired and rode our own scooter from patong over the mountain and up to the impressive sized statue of Buddha! Was still unfinished on our visit. Nice ride and view from the top.

we finally decided to go up to Big buddha. A nice drive all the way, lots of parking on arrival. One needs to cover bare shoulders for the visit, so they give a shawl to do so. The main building is still under construction and once finished should be quite nice. The vieuw from the rop is great from all... More

Unfortunately the Buddha was under renovation when we went there, but the area and view is simply amazing.

This was one thing I wanted to see while in Thailand, it was well worth it. I was overwhelmed with the size of the Buddha. Construction work is still be carried out in and around the area. We opted to write a message on a tile that will become part of the structure for a donation. Very spiritual place

This is a must see while in Phuket! Easy to get to and really worth it for the views alone, but a truly special place all round! When we visited there was a monk chanting which was a beautiful thing to hear! You can make a donation and sign the underside of a tile to be used on the Buddha.... More

You have to visit this iconic statue. It is huge and the views are simply stunninf. You are so high up, you can see everything. The Buddha itself had construction around it which was a little eye sore. The trip to the Buddha took a while actually, up hill, steep and alot of tight bends so be careful if driving... More

Myself and my boyfriend visited the Big Buddha last year during a two week holiday to Thailand. Being a tourist it was one of the things we wanted to see. We hired a taxi for the day doing several trips around the area. As we approached the Big Buddha you can appreciate the volume of size from a distance, it's... More

Not far out of Patong, a trip to the big Buddha is well worth the effort. The workmanship is incredible, and there is plenty of interest to see. The views are also fantastic.

We didn't take a tour just drove up and looked around ourselves. A beautiful peaceful place to be but they are building on it at the moment but still beautiful
