The heather was the highlight for me
Sep 2020
Of course the rough coast is beautiful, but I have seen better. But the heather here is just gorgeous.

Nice place for views and a little stroll
Aug 2020
Very nice spot, not too crowded (due to Covid?) Beautiful view of the cliffs. Nice to have an easy walk (you can do more if you like!). To get up the lighthouse you have to pay 3€ but its‘ worth it. Parking fee is 3€ for 3 hours (longer stay not possible) and keep 3€ in coins ready,it‘s easier and faster to pay this way.

top panorama

maybe the most impressive part of the Bretagne coast. Not to be missed!
However they should fix the parking machines, because these were a mess and only accepted coins instead of the banking cards. Do not bother to climb the light house, the view from down below is just as good and use your time for a walk. Staff at ighthouse very unprofessional.

Very pleasant light stroll

We took a deviation from the quickest route to take in the Cap on a sunny day. Car park for 3 Euros and dry toilets provided. There are many paths in different directions. We just explored the one to the phare (lighthouse). Good views of the sea and the rocks below.

Amazing

We did the full circle from the far west end of Cap Fréhel to Fort La Latte, and it was amazing. The sea, the flowers, the amazing cliffs, everything was stunning.

A beautiful spat in rough nature
Jun 2019 • Couples
The coast of Brittany is quite rough in most places, most certainly here. Cap Frehel is a picturesque peninsula protruding deep into the sea (the Channel) towards north and the island of Jersey.
There is a spacious parking area a short distance from the peninsula. A five-minute-walk takes you to the two lighthouses, the old and the new one. The old one was under renovation works, but that is no problem, since it is the new one that is prettier, higher and also the one visitors can mount.
When we were there, the wind was quite strong. But I can imagine that it is always windy there, the place is so exposed.
If you go about ten minutes further towards the end of the narrow peninsula, there is another structure there, an old tower. And if you look to the right on your way, you can see the fortress La Latte on the neighbouring peninsula and take some stunning photos.

Beautiful

A very nice and not so crowded place. The scenery is very beautiful with all the colors of the flowers. You can climb the lighthouse for 3 euros, where you can have a nice look over the area. Parking is 3 euros and is close to the lighthouse. BUT parking is only for three hours!

Panoramic Viewpoint

We visited Cap Frehel while driving along the coat on our way from Dinan to Ploumanach. There's a paid parking lot, and you can visit the lighthouse as you enter. There are a number of walking trails stemming from there, with specatcular views of the coast, with towering cliffs everywhere and even Fort Latte on an outcrop in the distance.

Here it is necessary to visit!
Oct 2018
My wife and I visit France every autumn. This time we decided to visit the coast of Pink granite in Brittany. I think Cape Fréhel is one of the places that must be visited. To the Cape is a convenient road that passes by several large beaches. On one of them we saw how very young athletes from surf school tried to ride the waves. It was the end of October and I was even afraid to think about just entering the sea on my knees.)))
The Cape is crowned by the lighthouse building, near which there is Parking for cars, visit the Cape for free. We advise you to dress warmly if you visit the Cape in autumn and winter, because there is always a breeze. When you walk past the lighthouse to the very end of the Cape, there are beautiful views of the almost sheer cliffs cut by small bays on both sides. Waves run and break on the rocks, in the distance you can see large sandy beaches, from such a spectacle is breathtaking!!!
You can build a pyramid of stones in memory of visiting the Cape, just do not take the stones from the pyramids built, it is "unsportsmanlike" ))) and built of these stones pyramid just fall))).
To visit the Cape take an hour, and then go to lunch oysters and mussels in white wine with cider in the nearest town! As always, I apologize for my English, because it is not my native language and I Express my gratitude to Yandex-translator for preparing this post.

3 Lighthouses - a very nice walk
Nov 2017 • Couples
Being as close as it is to the Fort la Latte, the Cap Fréhel must get a lot of passing trade as the car park is large. There is an enormous modern lighthouse built right next to it. Next to that is another, older one. As I recall, I think it was 18th or 19th century. It's much more elegant yet less impressive than the modern one.
There is a nice walk down to the Cape itself. The walk is moderately difficult but pleasant. The views are incredible. Nearer to the point, downhill from the car park, there is a much smaller, older lighthouse.
