Lovely little family owned shop!
Jul 2019 • Family
Our tour director took us to this little shop and had he not, I doubt we would have come across it! It was a lovely little place where we learned a bit about the different marbles in Ireland and where they come from. The best was seeing all the hand made goods and jewelry with a nice selection of things to bring home as gifts!

Best pit stop you'll find (& take the tour)!

Restrooms, fire to warm up by. Really neat place and one-of-a-kind jewelry. The tour is informative, learn about the marble and see some raw materials. Note: the restrooms and marble factory/store are on opposite sides of the road, be careful!

Love my new Connemara marble ring!
Jul 2019 • Friends
We were here with Connemara Equestrian Escapes. Listened to a very informative talk on all the types of marble. The gift shop is great. I bought a beautiful and different looking ring set with the green marble. Also some earrings for gifts. Wonderful attentive sales help. Great place for you to buy your memories of Ireland.

Lovely little stop for gifts
Jun 2019 • Family
If you’re looking to bring back a piece of Ireland as a gift, I think this is a great place to do it. We had a nice little tour of the the facility and learned about marble mining in Ireland. All the jewelry and gifts are hand crafted on site. The owners a wonderful people that are genuinely interested in everyone that comes in the door. Really great place to stop if you have some time.

Cozy workshop where stones become lovely jewelry

Stopped here with a CIE Tours group...wonderful! Just as many folks were working the back jewelry benches, as the gift shop out front. Connemara marble is 40 shades of green, and the place was packed with all kinds of lovely items that were made on site. Highly recommended!

We stopped at the Connemara Visitors Center with our CIE tour group. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the marble and its history. We had plenty of time to browse the shop and buy some souveneirs.

Bracelet

I purchased a bracelet when we were at the factory. I had problems with it coming apart and contacted them. They paid for the shipping of the bracelet back to them and sent me a brand new bracelet! They could not have been more helpful.this was within 2 weeks time! Great job!

Great stop!

Connemara marble is famous. It’s naturally green marble and is beautiful. The visitors center is a gift shop, but is definitely worth a stop. Only takes 10-15 minutes to visit. You can find the marble in lots of gift shops in Ireland but this is where is comes from. Family owned. People were very nice. Gifts vary in prices. Jewelry was very nice! We stopped here while driving to Connemara. Glad we stopped and learned about the marble. No tour. No cost to visit.

A very interesting tour stop and shop
Jun 2018 • Couples
Connemara, a coastal region of County Galway, is also the home of Connemara Marble, which is quarried in the Connemara mountains. The marble from this particular region has a very unique green color, and is 600 million years old. There is also black marble from Galway Bay, white marble also from Connemara, and red marble from Cork used in various designs.

We took a tour of the factory (though it's more like a workshop) at Connemara Marble, and checked out the shop. We are told that Connemara Marble is perhaps the most authentic Irish thing you can buy in Ireland.

Some of the jewelry in the shop was pricey, but there were other items of all shapes and sizes that ranged in price. I ended up getting a small carved salmon to display in my home. This is a nice cultural stop with a lot of history in its marble.
