Fabulous Equestrian Staycation Weekend With My Own Horse
Sep 2020
Fabulous Equestrian Staycation Weekend with my own horse. Was great to be back and looking forward already to next time 😀 Thank you Cáit for your hospitality and Clodagh our instructor for great lessons. Clean airy stables, large outdoor arena with good surface overlooking the lake, great hacking. Spacious , clean ensuite room in lovely large house . Pity I couldn't stay longer...

Connemara equestrian escapes...what a fantastic week. Fabulous setting, amazing horses, most comfortable house, great restaurants on your doorstep. Couldn't ask for any more. 🤔 Well ....maybe better weather on the last day. 🤣🤣🤞#staycation Connemara. The guides well so knowledgeable, and . The owner Cait was very passionate about her horses. It was lovely to see such well cared for horses who were all so well trained. What an absolute delight. Will be visiting again for sure.

Connemara equestrian escapes does exactly what it says on the tin!
Aug 2020 • Friends
Connemara equestrian escapes does exactly what it says on the tin! Càit and Clodagh provide an excellent trail riding experience, their accommodating, friendly and relaxed attitude made a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere from the get go.

A friend and I went for the bank holiday weekend and were blown away from the whole experience. The beautiful, well tempered and much loved Connemara ponies, well kept yard and lovely house (spotlessly clean with covid precautions in place) and the amazing scenery to explore while hacking ensured we had the best weekend and hope to be back some day!

Lovely setting, great horses, a most enjoyable break!
Jul 2020
A great escape! the setting and lovely accommodation immediately relaxes you into a different world and you get wrapped up in absolutely gorgeous horses, a relaxed but safe vibe and ride outs soaking up the best of the local scenery. Clodagh was a great guide and took my beginner husband under her encouraging wing and he made loads of progress quickly in some individual classes, really enjoying it. Cáit knows her business and the area so well and the horses are so well looked after, it was a pleasure to experience. Really enjoyable few days escape!

The perfect riding holiday in the perfect location
Jun 2019
I visited with my daughter, we both love Connemara ponies & wanted to visit the place they originated from & ride in this location. We were accommodated in the lovely Renvyle House Hotel right on the coast.
We met our host Cait & her team who made us very welcome. We were taken to meet our mounts for the week - the gorgeous Dougal & Monty. Both horses had lovely temperaments, they were very well looked after & had really good quality tack (always important as a rider) & importantly we felt very safe.
The hacks we went on were really lovely, they took in the fabulous scenery of the west coast & I would say were just the right length of time. On one of our rides we stopped for a pop up picnic half way round - wines & nibbles - it was excellent!
The highlight of our rides was the day we went to Omey Island - it was perfect - riding on the pure white beaches & cantering in the sea.
As well as the riding we went on a couple of excursions- it was great to have the mix of riding, sightseeing & free time. I would highly recommend & will definitely return.

A fabulous vacation in every way.
Aug 2019
Cait, her staff and her horses made for an incredible riding vacation. Riding Connemara ponies in Ireland is an experience not to be missed by anyone who loves riding and horses. Curra Farm is beautiful, right on the shore of Lake Corrib. Renvyle House where we rode the second half of the week was fantastic, a beautiful place right on the water with fabulous food. We had a different ride every day where we could enjoy this beautiful country. The highlight was riding on the beach at Olney. We also enjoyed many great visits to cultural sites from castles to a sheep herding demonstration. Best of all, were the ponies. They were great fun to ride. These are not public hacks but enjoyable horses that even an experienced rider will appreciate. They are forward, well trained and as sensible as you could ever hope for. While Cait can accommodate most abilities, it is best if you do have some riding experience so you can enjoy the experience. I have visited Cait and her horses twice and hope to return again.

Equestrian holiday
Apr 2019 • Family
We had an amazing time on our equestrian holiday. Cait and her team are amazing. We were so well looked after. I am a more novice rider whereas my daughter is more advanced. The trail riding catered for all of our abilities and we had great fun! The horses are really well looked after and schooled. Curra farm is an amazing place to stay. My husband and young daughter were non-riders but thoroughly enjoyed the days out to castles, restaurant and mining/sheep herding day out. I loved it and can't wait to go back.

Truly amazing!!

Highly highly recommend!! Cait & her team are truly amazing! Her horses & home were second to none! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel at home & welcome.

It’s the perfect mix of structured & your own time. Some time to enjoy the local fare & talent...we were treated to a private concert by a local musician...and enjoyed a local restaurant with new friends met on the trip.

Cait is one of the best hosts I’ve had the pleasure of meeting! Her attention to detail, her awareness of what people are needing, he dedication to her horses...are only a few of her wonderful traits!

So, sign up, and GO!! Galloping along the sand on the beaches of Ireland is worth every penny & something I will never forget 💕

Wonderful horseback adventure
Apr 2019
A bucket list trip that didn’t disappoint. No better way to travel the back roads of Connemara but on the back of a Connemara pony. Cait offers a top notch experience, with a yard full of classy horses, with modern, comfortable tack, all kept pristine clean. Learn to ride first and this adventure will be one you cannot wait to go back and do again. It’s just wow. (But do bring a proper raincoat...it is Ireland...)

The Alabama Nutters Do Connemara
Aug 2019 • Friends
Our group of six friends who meet monthly for “cocktails and trails” took a field trip to Connemara Equestrian Escapes, and it was a fabulous, once in a lifetime, experience. Everything about this program, from the hospitality of our host, Cait, and her team, to the quality of the horses and rides, to the accommodations, to the thoughtful itinerary and tour sites, was top notch. I can not recommend this experience more highly!
