This is an enjoyable place to go, but very expensive. I know that elephants eat a lot but the price would be prohibitive for a lot of people. The handlers are very good and the animals trust them. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly and...More

It's supposed to be a sanctuary but they made the elephants do tricks and pressured visits to stand with or walk the elephants. All to be sold as a video at the end of the tour. You get to get up close and personal with...More

I went with a friend to the Elephant Sanctuary. We chose the option to interact with them. I am an African, from the North to the South, and I have grown up with Elephant, yet I have always been afraid of their "Awesome" size and...More

We were on the fence about doing this experience and based on the reviews thought it would truly be an elephant sanctuary. Unfortunately, it felt very commercialized - they cram as many people on to the tour as possible rather than being a small intimate...More

I was under the impression that sanctuaries didn't allow ride on the elephants. Its not something that is good for their bodies, especially their backs. We found one in Thailand that didn't allow ride, but we did various activities with them. Is this really a sanctuary?
