14 of us went today..3 families in total. Unfortunately, covid regulations are not being followed at all. Staff on the door checking covid passports were not wearing masks themselves and did not ask us for photo i.d. Nothing was sanitised in between skating sessions, neither the handrails, junior penguins or even the skates. The ice rink itself was packed with loads of unmasked adults and a bit of a scrum at the end of the session when queuing up to return skates...absolutely no social distancing in place. Would not recommend at all. Even if covid regulations were being followed, it was far too packed to be enjoyable.

Every second person on the ice was either not wearing a mask, or wearing it under their chin.
There wasn’t sufficient room to queue for the ice so absolutely no social distancing possible.
Only one of the four doors were open for ventilation.
A covid pass was requested on entry but it was not checked or any ID requested.
This is not a safe venue for anyone who hasn’t been boosted or the under 12s.
Very disappointing - in previous years we skated here several times a week, but we cannot this year.

If you want to waste your money and time. Is not safe. Adults bashing in to children. Poor layout. No staff to help. And staff skaters cutting in front of less experience skaters.
There website says arrive 20 mins early. No meantion of the hour you need to add to the normal traffic. As it shares the Blanchardstown shopping entrance and parking. No meantion of the no designated parking. Session was to be 50 mins. With skate delays etc. we got 20 mins.

Went as a family of 4, total cost was ca. €48 which was the "family deal" price. Given that the facility is entirely temporary it was extremely well run, and the facilities were very very good.
The kids had a great time and even though it was busy there was enough room to comfortably stumble around on the ice for them and also loads of penguins and whales to hold on to. Any kids messing were swiftly and fairly dealt with and the staff on the ice were attentive and helpful. Session was just long enough at 50 mins for us to enjoy it and get some confidence on the ice.
Would be great for this to be a more permanent setup as its a great addition to the locality and being able to go at different times might make it less crowded when it is open.

We had anticipated a well organised and enjoyable family event at a non- peak time. As a family who had never skated, we were expecting a little more help from staff. From the get -go however it was very clear to us this was not about to happen and did not happen throughout our 30-minute experience. No assistance was offered or given to assist with putting on skates This delayed us getting started. There were not enough penguins or dolphins on the kiddies rink. We saw 2 female staff member with a red and blue jumper who did not approach my daughters who were 'stuck' to the railing and could have done with some assistance.
On our exit when I approached the desk to reclaim our shoes I was informed 'no skates no shoes'. Why then wasn't there a sign stating this ? We could have all this done before approaching the desk! When my 5 year old daughter almost choked on the ammonia gas fumes near the ' eating' area it was time to flee the building. We felt. If the staff were not on the rink working why were they not keeping the sanitation standards at an acceptable level. What about children with long term illnesses. With the crowds that visit yearly this is not a new problem as in February 2016 there was a similar complaint about the desperate toilet situation. Delegation of staff to their duties is needed at an event like this. I am just making some obsrevation that coukd be helpful to your business. My daughters enjoyed it as did I but it's just for our return next year I will -l'm sure- be able to write an excellent review.

It's a beautiful facility-rink, coffee shop, etc and the staff are very nice. But the bathrooms were DISGUSTING!! In the ladies only 1 of 3 toilets was usable and the stench was so bad it made me gag, even breathing through my mouth. I haven't smelled such a thing since a trip to China years ago. They need to clean up their act or risk being closed down for health violations.

Booked online for 2pm (I live 20 mins away) left my house at 1pm and didn't arrive until 2.20pm, due to delays entering the facility. There is no parking available onsite so had to park in the shopping centre car park which was absolutely crammed with queues of cars everywhere looking to park, the directions given on the website are rubbish and there were only a certain amount of those event signs that point the direction of the ice rink, they only seem to signpost it from one direction, that is coming from Blanchardstown itself which we weren't. The girl at the ticket sales desk was really nice and changed our 2pm tickets to 3pm at no extra charge and we went in for a crepe and hot chocolate to pass the time. The queue for skates and to get onto the rink was really unorganised and the security team were just roaring at everyone from all sides to move up the queue and have their stuff ready, they push their way through people and are just downright rude and ignorant, same at the end when people are queuing to hand back skates, there was families with kids there and its not easy to take off a childs skates and hold ur own or vice versa so does take a little bit longer but they are just standing roaring at people to move, very unprofessional!! Then when approached by a lady for assistance their reply was "What are you asking me for, ask the staff"
None of them were wearing a security number either which I believe they are supposed to. They kind of put a dampner on the whole thing.
Also avoid the toilets at all cost, they are horrific.
There were too many people on the ice too, it wasn't safe.

Disaster ,too many on the ice and not enough tools to assist children learning to skate. An overcrowded rushed experience with pushy staff. Wouldn't recommend.
