For me that has two teens with me, very much appreciate the zoo. I suggest to go when they open for it's kinda a long walk. You can ride the maokong gondola to the top and when you go down, stop at the Taipei Station....More

That's it. Great family friendly zoo with all the amazing wildlife you would hope to see at a zoo. Food options are somewhat limited so bring a packed lunch.

Amazing place to visit. The gondola going to the zoo is a must try. A little bit crowded but it's fun.

Be prepared to spend the entire day here. There’s a great variety of animals to see, we loved it! Highly recommend the Panda cafe, it was a little wait as we didn’t have a reservation.

Really inexpensive to enter this zoo. We liked seeing the animals of Formosa and the pandas. We missed the penguins.

This is a good size zoo, lots of animals and lots of walking. It was a comfortable temperature when we went but my daughter who's used to the cold Oregon weather thought it was the "hottest" day on earth :) It is really cheap too!...More

If you don't want to take the gondola, you may go straight to the ticketing booth of the Taipei Zoo. And ride a train going to the top station and walk from their. Hope this helps.

Am sorry but I didn't go to Elephant mountain. But From Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall (green line), you take the red line ( going to Xiangshan) and alight to DAAN STATION and transfer to BROWN LINE to Taipei Zoo.
