I was unaware that Hsinchu was renown for its glass blowing and glass artwork. This pleasant museum offers a three story glimpse into this world. Am easy place to wile away an hour of two.

This city is known for its glass blowing and glass art. There is no better way to see you then at this Museum. Make sure you check out the glass jail cell.

The place is small with some nice Japanese glass lamp shades. I visited the museum on a cold rainy day so it was okay, I wouldn't book a tour specially to see the place. 30 minutes are enough to see all exhibits and then move...More

This is a small building next to the Zoo. Has two floors with no elevator that I could find so disabled or elderly may have some difficulty with the stairs. The Japanese lampshades were very nice and some other pieces were rather delicately made glass...More

Nothing much over there, therefore not worth a visit. Only thing is there are some decent food stalls but when I went, only some were open

Not worth it. Go to the glass shops which are close to the little lake and have a punt around there. It is much more interesting. The museum is dull and boring.

Interesting place to see the various glass creations and learn about glass-making techniques and usage of glass over the centuries (and in recent times). Quite stressful to visit with kids as everything is fragile...

Sorry, but I did read some of the reviews before I penned mine down. And so I guess many people are more forgiving. For me, it was really NOT WORTH it if you were all excited to see what magical glass sculptures or expect to...More

not much to see. everything is a bit old. very disappointed with this museum. visit if you have plenty of times so burn. if not, i suggest you spend more times on the street market/stalls just outside this museum

I am sure those with an interest in glass art and its history would find this enjoyable, but if you are not it is not really worth the entrance fee.
