The mountain is full of sakura flower in the month of March. Good place to take pictures. Spectacular view of the mountain.

Taipei is generally warm surrounding by mountains, so this is a good get away for a chilling morning or evening stroll at Yangmingshan National Park. It is just within half to one hour drive from downtown Taipei depending on the traffics. It is especially nice...More

This is a mountain which is full of grass but little trees, unlike most mountains. No wonder it was called "Grass Mountain" in the past. Nice views and the smell of sulfur from the thermal pool and steam was not as strong as what we...More

We visited this park last March 15 and again last March 17, 2018. If you are Sakura hunting, this is one of the perfect place to visit at this time of the year.

Unlike most visitor centers, you would expect a lot to do around it. Unfortunately, that is not the case. There is a huge bus parking lot and a small park with flowers. Park is not well maintained. Don't bother trying to look for a lake....More

Depending on the season, the flowers blooming in Yangmingshan park is perfect for cherry blossom viewing and nice walk/hike away from the busy city center

Good place to find cherry blossom during this month as the weather is cold enough. It’s good to walk around and take pictures of the flowers other than the cherry blossom. Bring selfie stick to capture the amazing view of the flowers

Despite its fame, the park is not really a park. Many of the attraction is actually on private properties. Getting around the park is a far cry from other places in Taiwan/Taipei. The buses are confusing and far apart. So, if you are going there...More

We went to Yangmishan National Park to see cherry blossoms. But alas, our trip was off by two weeks for the full bloom of the sakura. When we got there, there were only a few still in bloom. Most have already wilted. As we had...More

I think the peak of the bloom was earlier in the year (mid March), and I'm not sure how long the season extends.
