Beautiful- But be very careful
Jan 2021 • Couples
Fantastic views from above. However just because you see people surfing does not mean its safe. I entered the water and was watching the surfers the next minute I was heading down the coast in a rip tide. Luckily a surfer helped me back to shore. This place looks amazing but please be careful, looks can be deceiving. Hopefully if you read this I could save you from a similar fate, God bless.

Packed and small
Dec 2020
Came here during high tide and found the beach to be narrow and packed with people. Not a pleasant experience.

Beach shaded by caved cliff
Jun 2019
Visited suluban beach last year in June.first, you must go through a small forest, there are many steps,a bit exhausted, after that you will reach the place .but you cant see the beach first.cuz the beach shaded by the caved cliff, that time i went there is high tide, very dangerous, the waves very strong, you must go through the cave, the you can see the beach, but it is very dangerous,so i didnt stay there longer, just taking some photos only.be noted that some tragedies did happened here,so better come here when low tide.i should do some research works before coming here.there are some restaurants at the cliff, you can climb up and find a seat, drinking something and watching the marvelous indan ocean.also if you have time, you can wait till 18.00,you can see the beautiful sunset.of course it depends on the weather.will come again.

Suluban Beach not for beginner surfers
Mar 2020 • Solo
Suluban Beach is a real exotic beach. It has typical entrance under the rock just to get to the beach. For non surfers , they can only get to the shore during low tide.
Since the current is kind of strong the surf there can be a little risk for beginners

Beautiful sunset place, great waves, but bad area
Feb 2020 • Solo
Been frequenting the Bukit for the last 21 years, as well as surfing Uluwatu amongst all the other waves in the area.
The setting is absolutely breathtaking, walking down the stairs through the cave to either exit to go surf Uluwatu’s good but crowded waves or spend some time on the beach during a lower tide. Situated at the foot of the cliffs, the setting makes for awesome photos and as is great during sunset. The Beach is small, only really accessible on a lower tide but is Beautiful in how it is placed.
Apart from the a Beaches breathtaking beauty, the amazing sunsets and great waves, the area itself is not too great! It has a weird vibe, seems cheap for its great location, always seems dirty and doesn’t have the best crowd at times, in my opinion!..
It gets way out of hand on a Wednesday & Sunday night when bars in the area have their chaotic parties! There’s hordes of disrespectful, drunk, rudely people roaming & it should be avoided those days/times if you after a more peaceful, calm experience. Each to their own though...
But if you after good waves, don’t mind a crowd, mostly a lot from South America, after that next great IG photo during sunset, then it is worth a trip, once in a while.

What a gem!

Hope it stays like this. Not a lot of people on the beach and not affected by tourism, only a shame that even here were vendors...
