Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Looked good originally but too much plastic nowadays. It’s a real shame to swim and surf through chip packets, things and bottles. Education and support needed for locals.

Not much to see here, just a lot of plastic and small stuff in the water and around the beach.
Wouldn’t recommend going down the cracky stairs to get to this beach unfortunately.

Good a lazy day out in the sea. Make sure you carry water and suncreen. You can hire sun bed for the day for 10 aud for 2 people and get surf lessons too. You ll get coconuts and bintang too.

Beautiful beach, just make sure you check the tides before you go as the first time we saw it at low tide there was no water for swimming…second time at high tide stunning!
Quite a few steps down but not too bad compared to others nearby.
Good price for umbrellas although not best condition as the beach clubs…but cheap.
A few stalls selling sarongs & clothing and beautiful turquoise coloured water.

How do I explain about this beach? I am in love with this beach and will always be my favourite.
It's quiet, calm, raw, clean, not crowded and perfect for relaxation. It has so much to offer for snorkellers. You can get free fish foot massage. Good place for surfers too. As we walk by the beach, you tend to explore more. To sum up, it is a must place to visit and is a pure gem.
I really enjoyed time here and felt extreme relaxed.

It’s a great beach, you can surf and swim. Most surf beaches in the area are a challenge to swim in. But this place has both and is fairly private.

I went here because of no crowds and easy waves to learn to surf with no one around. The whole shore is very shallow and rocky/reaf like, not good for swimming or walking on the bottom without foot protection. Cheap sun chairs with umbrellas are offered as well as surfboard rentals. The stairs down to here are long and steep.

Alguien podría decirme cómo llegar al acceso a Thomas Beach yendo del templo de Uluwatu a Padang Padang? Cómo se sabe donde esta la desviación desde la carretera?

Are there any homestays overlooking the beach other than Thomas homestay? I've seen some brutal reviews of it!

Is there good snorkelling here??

The beach is on the reef so there may be decent snorkeling but we didn't go and there isn't anywhere to rent gear on the beach so you would have to bring your own :)

So the only way is to take the stairs down to the beach
