Playa Potrero has dark sand but is a nice beach for swimming and relaxing. It is also very close to two more popular beaches, Playa Danta and Playa Flamingo.

Very nice beach, not crowded and the waves were very gentle. Gorgeous sunsets and wonderful view of other surrounding beaches

Long, open, accessible beach, not too heavily populated. Great sunsets full of color. Numerous good restaurants in the area, all with friendly staffs.

It is just over two miles end to end. On the north is a restaurant and on the south the fishing fleet is moored. It is good for walking and swimming and very safe and friendly.

was told this wasn't one of CR's prettier beaches, yet the openness of it was simple straight-forward pretty. enjoyed watching the many sea birds and fishermen.

This was a great stop for an afternoon beer and margarita! The staff were friendly and made a point of shaking our hands. The beach is stunning and easy to swim or paddle board.

This is a dark sand shore of nearly 3 miles around what is largely a bay. Recommended mostly for long walks and occasional restaurant stops along the route.

Loved the area and would return in a heart beat as it’s low key, not busy and a laid back atmosphere. Coffee is a key market in Costa Rica and one to stay away from is shown here. Not worth half the 10usd they’re asking....More
