Must do, just amazing

Definitely do the one way up and take the path back down. You will see some amazing scenery. The cable car ride is not cheap, but saves a lot of time over walking to the top.

Arrived before opening and queued for 10 minutes. Efficient and impressive ride up and not too expensive one way. The walk down via Aliva took around 4 hours back to Fuente De at a leisurely pace with an 8 year old. Very little ascent mainly at the start and the end. Well way marked and on tracks and paths. The... More

As several others have mentioned, make sure you come here on a sunny day. The ride up is smooth and efficient. It isn't meant to be an attraction, unlike some of the Swiss ones, but more of a transport option. Over in less than 3 minutes. On a sunny day, the views from the top as you look over endless... Just thought it worth posting that the cable car is currently shut until 30 October. Not sure why. We were only staying 20 min drive down the hill and it was still worth the drive for us because a) other half hates heights and probably wouldn't have gone up anyway, b) there is still an awesome clear view across a... Incredible views going up and down in the cable car and magnificent views from the top you just have to do it! It's best to get there earlier in the day as the queues can build up!

I went here ten years ago when the cable car was really ancient and a bit scary as the cable really sagged whilst travelling up and down. They now have state of the art equipment from Siemens so no sag anymore and cabins that hold twenty people. It was a lovely clear day and once you get to the top... More

Disappointing. After a 2.5 hour drive, to find chaotic parking, little advice or information, leaves you disappointed. Then had to join a queue for over 30mins to find out cost and how long before we could go on cable car - why only one ticket desk open? Arrived late morning and wait time already over 2 hours - and expensive... More

Well worth the (2 hour) wait for a ride up the mountain(To be fair the queue is almost non-existent out of season) The view from the top is genuinely awe-inspiring, and once here you can wander around for hours, even to others villages (when there's no snow here..) For the brave there's a viewing platform, with see-thru floor grille, which... More

A must do if you are in the Picos de Europa, and if you have the time do a hike. Well organized, lines for the Teleferico went fast. Beautiful views from the top and several options for walking/hiking/mountain biking.
