    A paradise
Beautiful beach, I would say almost Caribbean. Possibility of renting deckchairs and umbrellas for just over €6 in the two establishments there. It's a shame that the beach outside the bars is full of rubbish of all kinds! Beyond this, the best beach in Phu Quoc. If it weren't for all that waste it would have a much much higher potential

    Sand fleas alert!
Beautiful beach and natural pool for people to swimming. Water is too warm for this season. And sand fleas is A BIG PROBLEM!! We visited Sao beach and Khem beach for 2 days, and I got at least 35 bites all over the legs and arms!! Don’t know if the bugs are just active seasonally or during the whole year. The bites are big and they itchy like crazy, lasted for many days… BE CAREFUL

The most beautiful beach in Phu Quoc
This is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to. The long stretch of white sand along with crystal-clear water. There are plenty of sports activities happening here at very affordable prices. Highly recommended.

Clear white sand beach - Best for season from May - October
The water is brilliant, it's so clean and clear that I could see my feet under the water. This is nice white sand beach for season from May - October. * There are some canoes with owners who will invite you to ride canoe to visit the small pristine island nearby and fishing on the small floating restaurant for seafood lunch... remember to check and bargain the price. It's a nice site and sweet memory for your Phu Quoc trip.

It is a Recommendation to go around with other highlights.
It's a white sand beach. I wondered if I should go, but I didn't want to regret it later. We arranged a taxi charter at the hotel and went around with other sights. The beach itself has been cleaned in front of the shops. Although the white sand is beautiful, it is quite noisy because there are many group tourists, and you can take your time at the beach of the hotel you are staying at, so I think it is enough to see Sao Beach once. It was about 40 minutes walking from end to end back to the parking lot. Highland coffee is available along the way for a safe break.

    Beautiful Beach
The soft white sand felt amazing under my toes, and the crystal-clear water was incredibly refreshing. The gentle waves created a soothing ambiance, and the sound of the sea brought an unmatched sense of peace and tranquility. It was the perfect escape for relaxation and unwinding.

Nice beach but a lot of rubbish scattered
Nice beach, free parking, one main bar but a bit touristy with some trips that visit. The actual beach is lovely but not maintained by the locals as there is quite a lot of rubbish scattered all along the LONG beach. Please stop using single use plastic!

Loved this beach. Beautiful sea and golden soft sand. Great sunbeds and the swings in the sea are a great addition. Do recommend.
Downside is that the beach has litter along the side so face your bed to the sea to avoid the eyesore. It’s a shame as I found this to be an issue all over Phu Quoc which they do need to address.

Beware, one of the restaurant entry points try to charge as soon as you attempt to walk through so just jump back on your bike and go to the next entry point!!

Visited here for a couple of hours for lunch and some sunbathing with as part of a TUI island tour. This is a pleasant sandy beach, much cleaner than Long beach. The businesses here are locally owned , a couple of bars/restaurants where food is basic but good,toilets/showers are typically Vietnamese, showers have a charge to use, subeds are available at a charge. Overall a nice place to visit for a couple of hours.

Clear blue waters and nice beach. Don’t expect to be alone, although the beach did not feel crowded. There are some restaurants on the beach, expensive in comparison to other restaurants around the island. Easy to take a taxi from Doung Dong and arrange round trip with the driver. Take a foto of the license plate. When exiting the beach other taxi drivers will approach you, so better make sure you get into the right car.

Lovely beach, night restaurant to eat at, can hire jet ski etc on the beach. Clean compared to some other places in Pho Quoc. Would recommend a visit, you can get a taxi there and ask them to wait, but only pay taxi on return journey

The best beach in Phu Quoc really no other beach like this one . The sand is white and even if there is people on the beach you feel well . The sea is waving but appréciable and water is clear and the temperature wonderful . People rents beds towels and one drink for 200 each person person( parking for motorbike included too).
Remarque still trash closed to the bar .

Isolated from the main road, the Sao Beach is less crowded than the Long Beach situated next to the chain hotel groups. It is perfect for those who love to have a peaceful sunbathing here. Water sports entertainment and equipment can be rent with a reasonable price. Restaurant, toilet, shower facility and a small hotel are also found here. Great place worth visiting!!

Really beautiful beach with clear warm waters, street vendors selling food and drinks and a chance to do some adventure sports ($$).
Picture perfect and great for an Instagram photo.
Would recommend a full day there - can't see the sunset at this beach

Beautiful beach, crystal clear waters and sand like sugar.
Don’t get me wrong it’s busy, but it’s also a long beach. A few little restaurants with seafood and Vietnamese classics.
We stayed for sunset, granted it sets behind you but still beautiful and many tourist leave early so super quiet.
You must go here if visiting Phu Quoc.

This is a public beach so it can be a little crowded but not overly so. There was good seafood available and lots of water sports.

It was a bit messy in places, but sadly that's to be expected on most beaches these days. The sun loungers are a little expensive so you want to make sure you keep your spot

A little piece of paradise (it was), but it will be completely ruined soon, by tourism, like the rest of Phu Quoc.
Hotel & apartment developments all over the island.
The Viet Govt have allowed big business from China and Taiwan to stuff the whole place up, in exchange for infrastructure dollars. Who needs it ?
I was lucky enough to see the place 15 yrs ago, when it was still a small part of "Heaven". Very sad. It's fu..ed now.
