Stalls aplenty
Jul 2019
On Cheadle Green, first Saturday in every month ( except winter ) Lots of different stalls, food, beer, and different handicrafts. Usually a band playing. Tables and benches to sit and eat. Well worth a visit

This Artisan food, drink and craft market is on in Cheadle the first Saturday of every month, good selection of hot and cold foods and locally brewed beers and Gins with some nice gift and craft stalls, also have good live entertainment and things for young children ( face painting and novelty balloons) - brings a lot of footfall to the village.

Very small market crammed into a corner off the Main Street. Looks okay at first, but most of the stalls are self indulgent and overpriced. Since I was looking for unidentifiable items for my new home I wandered around and the only stall worth stopping for a look at was the garden ornaments one. The seller was very busy and his stock was clearly priced and well displayed. Then the heavens opened and everyone got drenched! No shelter for anyone so really topped a miserable day

We love this Maker's Market, once again it is back in Cheadle. Located just off the main road on a patch of grass area. You cant miss it. It is on once a month and I think the maker's market facebook page provides you with the dates. Lots of stalls, mainly food stalls, however there are some arts and crafts type stall. We ended up with 2 porcelain tea cups and saucers with a candle in and 2 beautiful home made scones. The best stall for me was the "dough it yourself" which sells artisan pizza bases and sauces. I would really recommend these, they are delicious and to die for. They also had live music, "give blood motorcycle" stall, photo frames, personalised prints, cheese stall, personalised pens, home made cards etc. The only downfall is the parking, if you are travelling by car, it is an absolute nightmare to park. I think it's pot luck down a side street and hope for the best. All in all, we will be back during the course of the summer.

Very cozy market

A really nice place to visit. It seemed as if they have it all in a confined space in Cheadle gardens. The "A Kind Mama"- vegan bakery were of course the extra treat we were looking for.

Nice little monthly market in the heart of Cheadle off the high street. Nicely laid out, plenty of food stalls selling hot food and many selling quality pies/cakes. Yes it is yet another "Monthly Makers Market" in the Cheshire/Stockport area but they are all different sizes and all have their own look & feel and Cheadle is worth a visit especially as it is a Saturday and the High Street is very busy and also worth a look as it is packed with independent shops/cafes and unlike many high streets appears to be doing well. The market is located at the main traffic lights on a small green area so good for kids to walk around and there is a very good "Charity live music group" near a small pond with tables & chairs to sample your food purchases and enjoy the music and rest!, they play at Knutsford as well, give generously!!. Is it the best in the area? no! I would say that Knutsford is excellent and is one league better but Cheadle is extremely busy and many of the stall holders are probably at all/most of the markets. Would I visit again?, yes! one or two food stalls I had not seen before and as with all the "makers markets" it is a great opportunity to buy the odd xmas/birthday present and also indulge yourself with a luxury cake or very different meat pie!. I was impressed with the variety of cooked hot food stalls including a wood fired pizza oven, brilliant!!. The arts & craft stalls are very much "same old" but there is always a birthday around the corner and these stalls offer a range of little presents at nice prices to suit all budgets. Overall I will visit again as the combination of market and busy high street makes it worth the effort!.
