Very nice place for Gaudí-lovers
Dec 2020 • Family
Jardins Artigues are Modernist gardens located in a little town called La Pobla de Lillet, in Berguedà Region, in Pre-Pyrenees of Catalonia. Really, it is a strange and very nice place that you do not expect find here. The place was built by Gaudí, the most important architect in Modernist-style in Catalonia and here you can see a lot of very beautiful constructions with strange and natural forms. Also, here you can see some lookouts ans a very nice bridge. Really very interesting for Gaudí and modernist-lovers for adults and children. Very recommendable.

Must visit
Jul 2020
To get to the destination you must go through the town centre (La Pobla de Lillet) and drive on an old train-line road.

The garden is small but very nice and clean. I totally recommend it. It is not wheel-chair friendly since it has a few steps and stairs.

We only visited the garden. However, if you want, you can buy a "pack" ticket which includes: gardens + concrete museum + little train.

Gaudi
Oct 2018
Nice place! You should visit if you are around la Pobla de Lillet. If you stay in Barcelona do not make a trip to visit, just in case you are around. You can go walking (20 min) or with a little train. You can arrive by car but you should walk 5-10 minutes.

Gaudi gem
Sep 2018
Wonderful place to visit with many typical Gaudi installations. All seems very natural although made of iron and concrete - possible to repeat in own garden? I hope so! It is way off in the countryside - too far from Barcelona for a day trip really, especially as the roads are very twisty and winding in places. However, we visited on the way back from a stay in the mountains so an ideal half way break. Glad I read previous reviews and knew we had to actually drive on the rail tracks to get to parking as quite a scary thing to do.

Remote Gaudi garden
Aug 2018 • Couples
Everyone is familiar with Gaudi and Sagrada Familia or Parc Guell, but not everyone knows that in the small town of La Pobla de Lillet there´s a garden designed for this worldwide recognised architect.

Remote but worth the effort
Jun 2017 • Couples
It takes a while to get to the gardens, 15 miles of very winding road, but the effort is amply rewarded. The Jardins Artigas is a gem, Gaudi creating an extravagant fantasy land which is still totally in harmony with its setting.
Surprisingly, part of the setting is a factory. But the walls of the gorge and the walls of the factory are both used to set soft boundaries for the garden which help delineate the manufactured beauty of the garden from the natural beauty of the mountains surrounding it.
Within the garden every inch is gently molded to create the maximum wonder. Be it breathtakingly audacious bridges and artificial peaks or intimate views and seating areas everywhere is joyously perfect. Gaudi's signature reconstruction of natures sinuous forms uses muted colours so nothing jars the eye, but everywhere is wit and invention.
It is a small space but you could spend hours or days discovering every aspect of this little wonder.
We loved it!

Amazing in certain circumstances
May 2016
This is an amazing place because Gaudi's work is always amazing! However, I believe several circumstances must be positive for this to be an excellent experience. Perhaps that's the reason for people having very different opinions on these gardens.
On the day we visited, those circumstances were not in our favor. First, we drove many miles out of the way to see this. Then, we were confused about whether or not to drive on the train track to the parking lot (yes, it's what you do!). Next, we arrived at the same time as 2 filled tour buses of slow-moving adults. This meant waiting!! to get any photos without this large group in them. And finally, it was cloudy, misty weather conditions so there was not a big blue sky in any photos.
If you love Gaudi and gardens, have plenty of time to drive, or happen to be in the area, on a really nice weather day, then this may be an excellent experience. If you love Gaudi & those other circumstances aren't in your favor, AFTER Segrada Familia & Parc Guell, visit Colonia Guell & Gaudi Garraf Restaurant, and lastly consider these gardens.

Spectacular
Nov 2015 • Friends
The famous garden, designed by Gaudi, is not easy to reach. I was in Barcelona for business for more than two weeks and had a car, which was a great opportunity to visit this spectacular installation once again. The garden is completely integrated in the natural surroundings with many typical elements of the master’s work, especially the Christian symbols took from the gospels.

Stunning Gaudi Gardens in spectacular setting
Jul 2015 • Friends
Synopsis. Gaudi was commissioned to design housing for workers of the Clot del Moro Portland cement factory. Whilst project managing he stayed with the wealthy Artigas family. To show thanks he designed the Artigas gardens.
These gardens were rediscovered relatively recently. Access to the artigas gardens is gained by driving along the original cement train track! yes, seriously!
The gardens are beautiful and cool, especially when temperatures reach 35 degrees C as they did this summer!

Boring, insignificant and uninspiring
Jul 2015 • Family
Made an effort to find the garden as Gaudi's architecture is always intriguing but this tiny space was nestled beside a paper recycling plant providing the overall essence of a stinky sandal, and a cement plant. Considering his gems of architectural splendour spread across Barcelona and surrounds this "garden" was highly disappointing. Much more fun to be had roaming the hills around rather than seeking out this very ordinary garden with rudimentary, and insignificant structures.
