Get there by a taxi, buy all tickets on spot, come early to avoid busy lines, classical chinese site, super touristic, only one road to follow, the direction of the mob.

We signed up for a tour and left at 7:00 AM to visit the mountain. Be sure to bring your passport because you will need it to buy a ticket. You do not need to bring warm clothes if you are on a tour, because most tours will provide a heavy overcoat along with a bottle of compressed air that... More

This place was great, beautiful views all over the park. It was somewhat difficult to coordinate. ADVICE: -check the weather - try to go on a sunny day so you can see the mountain in it's entirety. Rain was predicted for the day we went and while there wasn't much rain it was very cloudy and we were quite disappointed... More

Going at the top of Yulong snow mountain is not straight forward for self-organized and non-Chinese-speaking travelers :) Getting there: Take minubus 7 from Mao square in Lijiang city (two traffic lights from the north end of old town). Get there early in the morning. The minibus leaves whrn full (6 or 7 people) - this is annoying but for... More

From the carpark you are driven by bus or mini van to the long and impressive chairlift to be taken to the walking trail. A reasonably fit person can navigate this easily and there are spectacular views of the glacier when you reach the top. After being driven down you are taken to a large and impressive amphitheatre with a... More

If you visit Lijiang then a visit to Snow Mountain is essential. From the carpark you are driven in a shuttle bus then you catch the cable car up with stunning views and then walk through the maize of shops before you pop out almost at the top of the mountain. There is a large viewing deck with stunning views.... More

Beautiful scenery and lovely backdrop of the Snow Mountain, even when it is not winter time. Do make sure you watch the performances by the natives as they are really good and professional. I did not go in winter so it is kinda sad to not have some snow experiences. Nonetheless, regardless of the seasons, do make an effort to... More
