Beautifully preserved and presented Great Hall, kitchens, bedrooms etc. Henry 8th visited with Catherine Howard. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We spent a very enjoyable couple of hours here drinking in the history. Cafe served good home made soup and cakes.

Having visited Gainsborough before, we were surprised to find where the Hall is relative to the centre - some clear signage in the centre would be helpful; we relied on Sat-Nav using the post code. There is on-street parking locally limited to 60 mins. with...More

This is my favourite place to visit in Gainsborough. Its so full of character and overwhelming historical features, absolutely stunning. Magnificent house which everyone should see. The cafe isn't to my taste at all but its good that theres coffee and tea available.

This was our first visit to the old hall and we were not disappointed. A fantastic property, excellent audio (and sometimes visual) guide, friendly and helpful staff all added up to making this a wonderful visit, which I would highly recommend.

One of the most amazing houses I have ever visited with an impressive history. The construction of the old hall roof is a marvel; the kitchen rooms fascinating and the roof view from the tower an interesting addition one rarely sees. It was a rainy,...More

This beautifully preserved medieval manor house, set in the heart of Gainsborough, is well worth a visit. The rooms are impressive and the medieval kitchen is a great piece of conservation; equally take the effort to climb the brick tower staircase for the views across...More
