Wunderful valley and lake, but if you like to swim, forget it. It is not allowed. You cannot rent a Stand_up_Paddle without a swimming vest, so it's not real fun.
It is like a big amusement park all around it.
In the kiosk by the lake side you only get tins and plastic.

So, if you want all kinds if activities, it's a good place but if you only want to swim, go to other mountains.

Lac de Genos-Loudenvielles is a lake located in the middle of these two little towns, in French Pyrenees. It is a beautiful lake, where a stage of Tour de France ended in the middle of September. The Tour was great, the lake good, in the average.

lovely place to come for a stroll, stunning views and really peaceful. We were there on a hot Saturday and it was still calm and quiet. The walk around the lake is pretty and flat perfect for a slow saunter

We visited Loudenvielle over Easter and it was stunning. It was like being in a postcard with the yellow flowers, snow capped mountains and blue sky filled with parachutists coming off the mountains.

We parked in the town centre and walked through a park where we picnicked before walking around the lake.

I totally recommend, especially on a clear day.

Great place to stay for a few days to step out of reality. Scenery is amazing as you walk around the lake with wonderful reflection of the mountain surrounding it. .

Visited Lac de Génos-Loudenvielle whilst spending the day at Spa Balnéa. Stunning area, charming villages, delicious & healthy cuisine, and a brilliant thermal spa. What more can you ask for as a mini-break from everyday life?

It's the sort of lake you wish you lived by. Stunning in every way. The reflection of the mountains in the water will have you whipping out your phone in a nano-second. Truly beautiful. There's a fab trail going around the lake with little detours (the Genos Tower) to keep you distracted!

Wonderful scenic lake with areas for picnics, surrounded by mountains next to the town of Loudenvielle. Far end of lake a cabin to hire paddle boats, peddlo's, kayaks and get drinks ice creams. Excellent for familes.

A lovely place to visit any time of year, in the summer you can watch the all the parapenters jump off the mountain and land in the field, near the large lake where you can picnic. In the winter the view of the snow capped mountains is stunning.

The spa is located next to a lake with the stunning backdrop of the Pyrenees. Apart from the Roman inspired steam room. Saunas, jacuzzis and pool adults can experience the outdoor Japanese pool going from 33-37-40c. Superb in any weather outdoors. Attendants make sure that calm and quiet are maintained. Separate area for families and children Indian themed and their own outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi. For a real treat book the spa followed by a meal in the restaurant. The vitality menu is excellent value and at 35 euros per head for spa and lunch a great treat for a loved one.
