Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was born in Poland and ever since I remember I have wanted to go on the splyw dunajcem (rafting on the Dunajec river). Well, I finally got a chance this May (2022). I am sad to say that it was quite disappointing experience. First, there were only 6 people for 3PM scheduled tour so we waited for half an hour until nobody else came and we finally took off. Second, the views were average at best. You just sail along the river banks. There are virtually no birds to see except a handful of wild ducks. There are mountains to view and a few limestone rocks but calling them beautiful is a stretch. Lastly, when we got to the end of the trip we were told that we would need to wait until people from the next scheduled tour arrive so we all can be squeezed into one bus to take us back to where we left our cars. Had I known what it would be like I would not have come. You are better off to spend an extra day in Krakow or to high the Polish mountains.

Unfortunately this over 2 hours river wood rafting depends a lot on weather and raftsman. Weather forecast you can check. Raftsman not. I can guess they describe everything only in Polish. Sometimes funny, sometimes boring. We were not lucky. Nature was so beautiful that still good review...

I am recommending you this activity. These rafts and rafters are only there as local folklore in Poland. You'll spend 2 hours around nature and beautful views. If you have luck you can see black stork or heron. We enjoyed really good with 5 years- old boy, in the end of rafting we had storm - interesting experience. You remeber about raincoat and cold beer! Return trip by minibus takes 20 minutes

Rafting on the Dunajec River in Pieniny is one of the most magnificent and fascinating tourist attractions in the Polish mountains. Wonderful and beautiful views. You will make there unique and unique photos. Must visit

Amazing thing to do. Will recommend to anyone. Great activity for families, friends and couples.
Guides are funny and tell lots of stories and some history. Whole trip takes about 2h. One of the best things to do while in Pienieny Mountains.

Best way of seeing Polish and Slovak mountains from the Dunajec river on the traditional boat. The boat houses roughly 15 people and you are taken for a 2 or so hour trip as the river meanders down through stunning views of the Polish and Slovak Tatras. Funny and entertaining boatsmen (known in Polish as Flisaks) tell the stories of mountains and entertain, while leading you downstream. Only in Polish so translators may be needed to convey the stories. As you sit on a wooden bench for the duration, it does become rather unfomfortable after an hour, so taking a seat cushion is a must if you want to enjoy the views for the duration. Best to prebook with a local tour operator, who will provide transfers from Zakopane or other pick up points, and arrange a day trip (no meals included).

A stunning experience. However, be prepared to wait, as there might be a line. Or, you might have to wait because there aren't enough people (they need a group of at least ten for each raft), so either way you may have to wait. The parking is not free, the trip is not cheap and the buses back are a separate fee as well. But, despite all this, I do not regret going. It was truly stunning and I may come back one day.

Fun experience in gorgeous nature! The only thing these rafts are missing is a toilet :) So do not drink before you hoop on!
