Koh Racha is a beautiful island just 30 minutes speedboat ride from Phuket. My grilfriend and I spent 4 nights here over NYE and found the experience to be very relaxing and a much slower pace to Phuket. Cows, cats and chickens roam the roads, and there isn;t much to do other than snorkel, swim or lay on the beach,... More

We took a 3 hour stop at Racha Yai during a fishing boat trip. We were moored out with all the other boats about 300 meters from shore and have to take a long boat onto shore. White sands and every clear clean waters with sea life close to shore and around the coral reefs. Clear waters and can see... More

calm and nice island - except if you run in to daytrippers. the main beach is flooded with people, on the other beaches it is a bit calmer. good jogging track in the jungle, just watch out for the 2m long lizards and aggressive water buffalos :). everything is overpriced on the island and tourists are pumped empty on money.... Take a speed boat to the Island - a 30 minute trip from Phuket. Many day trip options are available. The main beach is beautiful with pristine white sands We enjoyed a 2 stop snorkeling option . The sea water is very clear with very safe and controlled snorkeling areas. A nice day trip with good easy snorkeling .

I did a day trip to Koh Racha Yai and ha a great time. Our first stop was Coral island (I would recommended skipping this as the beach was full of glass and rubbish) and the we headed to Koh Racha Yai. White sandy beaches and clear blue water. There is also lots of places to snorkel/scuba dive with lots... More

This beach is good for snorkeling. Clean and green water. Without equipment also you can see bottom and lots of fish. Our kids enjoyed a lot here.

Great white sand and excellent place for snorkeling. We did it with 5 year old son. No waves so no worries off getting drifted away. Clear water.

This was my first dive after qualifying and what a great start! After visiting Racha Noi we did our final dive at Racha Yai - very cool underground wrecks and reef structures as Thai locals want to rebuild the corals. We saw eels, batfish, puffer fish and many other beautiful, colourful fish.

Thank Cherie M
