The trail starts from a small market area in the outskirts of Dhanaulti. Puja offerings are available here. It's a continuous uphill climb for a couple of kilometers: it will take about 30 minutes to reach the top. There are even a few benches en route. There is room to keep shoes just below the temple. It's difficult to stand... More

This place is really very peaceful. View from the temple is breathtaking. A small trek to the temple is also good and not so tiring

It is a hike/trek for about 45 mins-1 hr from the main road connecting dhanualti and Champa.Light to medium trek. Do not start the trek after 4PM in winters and 5 PM in summers as it gets dark and there are no path lights.

Surkanda devi temple hiking is one and the only thing to do when in dhanaulti. Its just 10km from main dhanaulti. One can easily reach here by bus (fixed time)/own vehicle. Just ask for the bus timing a day before. Else any shared sumo going on that route will drop you there (2km steep trek starts from here). Have some... More

I really liked it, view from temple is really really awesome. But it was too difficult to reach temple. It was complete 3kms steep way to reach temple. So carry water with you.

Devi shrine for religious and spiritual people, also a great opportunity for photography lovers to capture Himalayas. We stayed at Whispering Pines which gives as good views but those staying elsewhere can consider landscape photography from here.

Though it is a temple and might not attract those who are not into visiting temples, but I can assure that this place is something beyond that. At an altitude of almost 10,000 ft. this is the highest point in and around Dhanaulti. So the 360 degree view that one gets from the top is amazing. But then the real... More

The route is really difficult and the trekking is more than 2 hours long. However, the divine darshan makes you feel blissful and you shall forget the rest of the world. Situated at a hill peak, you can see the valleys and the beauty of the Tihri hills
