I can now understand why this region is well-known for it's olive oil. This is a great working factory in the middle of the town.

Granted we showed up unannounced, but on our drive from Granada to Cordoba, we traveled through the olive country hoping for an English tour & olive oil tasting. Unfortunately for us, no one was available who spoke English to show us around. We didn't even see a store to buy any olive oil on the premises. It looks like a... More

Very nice tour with the owner - well worth the stop. Note that the street address is #6 not #15 as listed.

It felt like a real privilege to be shown around the pristine factory by a member of the Nunez de Prado family. After watching a film, we were taken around the premises and were explained the whole process from olive to oil. I wish we had had more space in our luggage to take some bottles home!

The factory is operating from October through early January at which time visitors are not allowed. In spite of being dormant, the visit was interesting. The tour was led by one of the owners who seemed to enjoy telling the story (at times repeatedly) and demonstrating how the olive oil is pressed. Worth a visit.

We read about this place and knowing nothing about olive oil (other than we liked it) decided to visit Nunez de Prado. We wandered in off the street (had no trouble parking) and were fortunate to be taken on a tour of the olive oil processing plant by one of the family members - Francisco Nunez de Prado, a retired... We stopped off in Baena and paid a visit to Nunez De Prada not really knowing or expecting much but this is a wonderful facility. We had a tour of the premises by old Mr Nunez De Prada and his enthusiasm for his olive oil from growth out in the fields to production in this pristine facility is infectious. A... More

I was traveling by bus between Cordoba and Granada and deliberately made a stop in Baena so I could visit this factory. It was a little bit of a walk from the bus station but doable. Even though I was by myself, the owner was kind enough to take me on a personal tour of the factory. He showed me... More

We had a wonderful tour of the Santa Maria mill in the center of Baena. The Nunez de Prado family has been producing extra virgin olive oil at this facility since 1795.The owner treated us to a very interesting oil tasting. I never knew olive oil could have a peppery punch. Nunez de Prado Flor is the top of the... More

We stopped by here on the off chance that we could tour the facility and were given a personal tour by the owner. We learned about how olive oil is made and why they choose to go organic. We also learned that the olive trees live a very long time, there was a 500 year old tree in the courtyard.... More
