What an amazing organic vegan dining experience, curated in the hills of St Ann by Chris and Lisa Binns! Hardcore meatlovers (like me), prepare to be surprised, you won't miss the meat and you'll be very FULL at the end of all the courses. Vegan food doesn't have to be boring, Stush In The Bush is proof of that, and the place's chill bush/farm vibe is A+!

While very pricey, worth a visit if you love good food. The farm is lovely with some nicely designed spaces including the patio, dining room and the platform overlooking the valley. There a number of large dogs free to walk around, which we loved, but just keep in mind if you're taking someone who does not like dogs. There were adorable puppies too when we went. The food was quite amazing all the way up until the main course. Lots of wonderful appetizers and pre-mains that will leave you wanting more, but save room. There was quite the long gap between the end of the appetizers and the start of the more formal meal. Which helped get you hungry again, but be ready for that. We expected to be finishing up around 5, but the sit down dinner didn't start until close to 6pm. You can't rush deliciousness, I suppose. The only disappointment was the main course as it lacked any protein to speak of. It would've been a great accompaniment to a nice steak or fish (not that you could get one) but something was missing. Those who went with the pizza seemed a bit more satisfied. Luckily dessert picked up the slack. You can go for a short walk around the farm and learn about the various things they are growing or just hang out and enjoy the views. Nice and cool up there after the heat of Ocho Rios. You can BYOB but there is a corkage fee. The price is very steep, but you are paying for the entire experience. You won't eat this good down in the city. Just be prepared with enough cash to cover.

Be prepared for different experience. It was totally different from what we envisioned! Was not just a meal at a restaurant but a thoroughly enjoyable culinary and educational experience lasting some five and a half hours! Starting with the ride from where we parked on a narrow road, some seated in Chris’ pickup cab, the rest in the bed, it was quite the journey. A quick visit to a pinnacle with an absolutely amazing 360 degree view of the north coast of Jamaica, and then a short ride on a bumpy road to the farm where we met his wife Lisa and their friendly dogs. We had some lovely lemongrass and ginger juice and saw the extensive menu. What should we choose? We did not realize that we were to have everything on the menu and we did not have to choose. Suffice it to say that everything is vegan but as a confirmed carnivore, I certainly enjoyed the meal(s). The menu is based on availability and much of what os served is from their farm. We were briefed on what each dish was before we started each course. For starters we had plantain chips, very delicious and different jerk pumpkin chips, breadfruit chip, avocado hummus, plantain ceviche, amongst a few other dishes with there home made condiments and pepper sauce. All good! Then we had a little tour of the farm with interesting anecdotes about the plants and trees. Then we were seated in a rustic but comfortable dining room for the main course. Needless to say it was the most creative meal I have ever had. Included appetizer, soup, main of vegan crab cakes and potato, vegan bread and butter, avocado sorbet, and three lovely desserts. You can see the passion of loving what they do from these two people come through in the quality of the absolutely delightful food that they serve. The hosts are two of the most genuine, likable and interesting people I have ever met. Remember, I am not vegan but I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience! A must do if you are on the north coast of Jamaica.
