It was lovely to wander through this old mansion, once a school. Exhibits were comprehensive and all were translated into English. Cost of 200Baht is worth it. Although we didn't go inside the attached cafe, it looked very good.

This is an old Chinese mansion which became a school over many years. Now they have made a museum of it. There is a lot to see within the walls here with much about the history of Chinese immigration to Phuket. Also the history of...More
Museum about the history of phuket. Was first interested but later on it got so boring. Dont recommend it if u are not interested in chinese immigration, because the museum is all about it. Mostly just reading and the few Videos which are available are...More
I refused to pay 200 bht and was offered 120. The video room was impossible to follow. The theme of the private museum should have been interesting -the integration of thousands of Chinese migrant tin miners into Thai society - but the curator was more...More
The building is distinguished looking, rather grand and has lovely architecture. It once served as a Chinese school. Nothing much to see in this museum and the artifacts are pretty ordinary. The building is a respite from the hot weather outside though.

I have to say that this Thaihua museum is a disappointing musuem to me. As a heritage Sino-Portuguese building in old town Phuket it is well preserved and looks majestic. However in term of museum it poorly served as a good museum providing only remnants...More
We visited this museum, which exhibits the history of the past Chinese settlement in Phuket, as part of a longer tour around Phuket and, as a consequence, we had only about 45 minutes to look around. There was rather too much information to absorb in...More
