Our 3 hour afternoon safari in Bundala was the best safari we did in Sri Lanka. Not only were we very lucky in seeing many elephants, birds and crocodiles, our guide Srimal was also extremely knowledgable about all the animals and gave us lots of background information. Other safaris that we did in Yala and elsewhere where compratively disappointing because these were done only with drivers (no extra guide) and these only spoke poor English and only knew a few of the big animals. The safari was also much more pleasant than the safaris in Yala with no other jeeps around. We had the park essentially for ourselves. Highly recommended!

Had a superb afternoon with Udayanga from Yala Leopard Eye Safari at Bundala today. We practically had the whole reserve to ourselves. It’s bursting with flora and fauna that took my breath away at times. The birds number of birds are stunning and Udayanga allowed us the time to just sit and watch. We also saw monkeys, buffalo, golden jackals, crocodiles and lots of elephants at very close proximity, which was so special.

Udayanga was so fun and informative, and also bought me a surprise birthday cake which was really thoughtful. What an unforgettable day - thank you!!

We really loved our safari in Bundala with Srimal as a guide! It was very relaxed and quiet, so we could enjoy the nature and animals peacefully. We saw a lot of pretty birds and learned much about them. There were also lots of crocodiles, monkeys and even wild boar, deer and 2 elephants. The park itself is a very beautiful peace of landscape with a still untouched beach.
We would definitely recommend to go on this safari with Srimal. He's a really nice guy who knows a lot about the animals living in the park. His WhatsApp is +94 77 959 9397.

We had a Safari with Srimal and saw plenty of wild animals thanks to his instinct. Also enough time to take our photographs and an extensive safari with a stop at the indian ocean was provided.

Best was: no other people/jeeps were spotted during our whole safari. Highlight animals were schakals eating a wild pig.
Next to that there were crocodiles and elephants and many more of course 😊

Safari in Bundala is a great experience, especilly with a good guide. There is a huge variety of different animals, but in the contrary to other known parks - there was no crowd sobwe could have taken our time to lokk at animals we wanted. We were guided by Srimal (+94779599397) and it was the best choice! He has a big knowledge and great instinct to follow the animals.

Had the best time with Srimal in Bundala national park. We were lucky - elephant came 1m from our jeep. It was terrifying and beautiful at the same time. Also saw plenty of crocodiles, wild buffalo, monkeys, birds! Definitely worth visiting - there are no jeep wars, you during 3h trip we saw just few jeeps, and we didn't disturb each other or the animals. Really great experience and Srimal was a professional and knowledgeable guide!

We have had a lovely Bundala Safari experience today with Srimal and his driver. He picked us up from the hotel and took us on a fabulous private tour in a jeep. We saw lots of monkeys, crocodiles, spotted deer, mongoose, tortoise and many amazing and colourful birds. Most memorable was firstly the lone male elephant, then a herd of females and babies, about 12 elephants in total. Having lived just across from the park for his whole life, Srimal is very good at spotting animals and birds and is very knowledgeable and passionate about the park. The park was quiet with only 3 other jeeps spotted throughout the whole trip. It was a magical experience and one which we will treasure for a long time. Thank you so much Srimal and your driver.

Wonderful national park!
We went with our guide Chaminda, who we found here on tripadvisor, and would definitely recommend him!
He is a friendly guy who knows a lot about the species and has an eagle eye to spot them, we even saw the shikra!
He picks you up at your hotel, and stops frequently to let you observe the animals.

We just returned from bundala safari with Srimal. The trip was amazing. Srimal is a good man who respects animals, knows every nook and cranny of the park. Srimal easily spots animals and allows you to calmly look at it and photograph it. During our trip we saw mostly crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas, bufallos, deers and of course a lot of different kind of birda but we wanted to see elephants the most. Due to the Srimal knowledge and determination, we managed to see them and enjoy their beauty in peace. During the 4 hour trip we only saw a couple of other jeeps. We came to Srimal on recommendation and we highly recommend him to everyone. Thank you Srimal! Hope to see You again sometime my friend!
