This is an AMAZING tour -- probably my husband's and my favorite thing we did during our entire 2-week visit to Australia. Linc took us out to the beautiful Cooya Beach. The tide was really low, so the beach stretched on for (what seemed like) hundreds of meters. It was stunningly beautiful. Linc taught us to find crabs and told... More

We are locals and have been wanting to do this tour for years. We were not disappointed. Brandon was an excellent host and we had a ball catching our own food. We will be doing this again soon. Can't recommend highly enough.

Percy took us out for the day, showing us all the sights between the beaches and the rainforest. He shared loads of local stories with us and provided a beautiful lunch of fresh organic fruits and homemade damper prepared by his family members. Really was a fantastic way to spend the day and learn about the culture of the Kuku... More

Kuku Yalanji hosted a large group of us on a work conference recently. It was a privilege to have them teach us their traditional spear fishing practices in such a beautiful location. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Wife wasn't feeling well so it was just me and Percy Walker for the day. He was a delight to be with ... full of interesting stories and a wealth of knowledge about bush tucker and natural remedies derived from local plants. Bark from an umbrella tree can be used to numb a toothache. Squeeze the berries from Beach Lettuce... More

There were only 4 of us that enjoyed this remarkable experience. The 4 of us were taken to Cooya Beach located north of Port Douglas. We met up with the Walker brothers who follow the traditions of their ancestors. This special place is a traditional fishing ground of the Kuku Yalanji. We joined Linc Walker & his son on their... I think about this tour a lot. Was a small group of 6 people. And we caught lots of delicious crabs. I really enjoyed the value from paying extra to have an Kuku Yalanji guide for the rainforest part, as I feel like I learned so much more than if I hadn't.

If you are interested in nature and gaining a little knowledge about indigenous culture then this is the tour for you. The tour simply involves joining Linc or his brother in their daily explorations of the mangroves and beach in search of crabs and other crustaceans which are later cooked up for lunch. There was a small group on the... More

We spent 13 days based around Port Douglas and a few days around Cooktown. We had a busy and great trip. One of the best tours we did was the Walker Brothers coastal habitat walk at Cooya Beach, 20 minutes just north of Port Douglas. It was safe, fun, interesting, great insights and productive. Linc Walker was our host along... More
