We greeted in the new year 2018 at Manapouri spending some time on the shores of this beautiful lake. Not crowded at all and was serene. Loved it.

Lots going on here but nice just to spend time relaxing also. The town has plenty to offer too and tourist information helpful.

Sadly, on the day we visited there was a severe weather warning in place so you couldn’t see a huge amount but the bits you could see were nice.

The title says it all - beautiful lake and beautiful mountains. Few people there on a Sunday in high summer.
