Overview
More
The San Expedito Cooperative is a women's cooperative of artisans dedicated to making traditional pre-columbian Nicaraguan black pottery. Visitors to the factory see the traditional black pottery production process. We also offer extended tours of the process with hikes to local clay deposits, organized community projects, or preparation of local traditional foods.

I visit every time I'm in Jinotega, and it's always a wonderful experience. The ladies do all the work themselves, starting with digging the clay, and they make beautiful pottery at a ridiculously low price. They are a little outside Jinotega, and the short drive...More
