Nice place, in a way. There are some nice restaurants and bars, the village is lovely, but the handicraft shops seem to sell a lot of overrated stuff. I visited once, cannot see myself going back.

Visited Fiskars with the family, a very cute little town with pretty little houses. There were lots of handicraft shops selling all kinds of items, although we found a lot of items to be over priced in our opinion. We visited a little brewry shop which sold own brewed beers and ciders, the cider was especially good made from local apples. There were more handicraft shops on the main road. A pretty pond covered over with water lilies as well as a glass factory, where you could see the glass being blown, and also a smithy which was very atmospheric. Also there were a few restaurants and smaller establishments for snack type food. A nice stop over place for a couple of hours or so.

Very beautiful place to visit. It is like a small village from 19th century. There is lots of same things that then. All services what they needed. Few cafes and restaurants, shops. Brewery and so on... There also lives around 600 people so respect their space.

Fiskars Village has it all! Delicous food, great local drinks and handmade arts & souvenirs to start with. But do not forget to try the 50km marked tracks for fatbikes and mountain bikes!

Fiskars is one of the first ironworks and industrial areas in Finland. Many buildings are old and even the new buildings are honoring the spirit of the area.
You can find museums, restaurants and handwork shops and studios here.

Can I give it 3.5 stars?

Pros:
One of a kind artist shops
Tasty lunch at Kuparipaja
Cool playgrounds
Bright blue dragonflies

Cons:
You could be swimming on a lake or taking a sauna
Feels like a tourist town (because it is!)
Big markup in brand name items--same moomin mugs/fiskar scissors are much cheaper in a S-Market in Turku

One of the members of our group of 6 who was a quilter wanted to visit Fiskars Village during our driving tour of Finland. I must admit I was somewhat sceptical but went along. I was very surprised by how pretty and scenic the village was. The guided tour and museums were excellent. Fiskars Village is definitely worth a visit.
