By far the greatest (and best-value) attraction in Viinistu
Aug 2020
Boasting the second-largest collection of Estonian art in the world after Kumu in Tallinn, this museum is a revelation. Much bigger than it appears, it features an impressively broad range of art, from classics to contemporary. Take your time to explore the full collection - you could easily spend a few hours here.

Tickets are just €5, which for a collection of this quality and diversity is a steal.

Good Collection

The museum is well worth visiting. The art collection is varied and extensive and nicely displayed in a former industrial building.

We looked for something to fill in a few hours, and found this art museum By the sea. Not expecting much from the description but it was great and went on and on with Estonian art of different styles. Great architectural style inside old buildings - we loved it!

Hundreds of pieces of art in many different styles. Though not very knowledgeable about art we did find this museum very impressive, and would think an art aficionado would be even more impressed. certainly worth the visit.

Very big and impressive collection of art that is owned by private collector. Some of the most famous drawings, pieces amd pictures from all eras of Estonian cultural heritage are there. Its also close to the see and ambient is really nice. In total, one really cool museum.

More than 1000 pieces of artwork takes at least 2 hours to walk through. The modern building itself is cool with multiple levels. Service is poor- museum lady was grumpy as hell paying remarks to left and right : (. Unfortunately they don't have any postcards or books on sale. Extra info about the museum, its history and collection would be nice. Half of the museum was poorly lit- some reason the lights were turned off. But the collection is nice and it is worthwhile to go to the Viinistu just to see it.

Incredible treasure-trove

If you are interested in Estonian art, this museum adds a lot. However, you need to be already a bit at home in what Estonian art really is, and who are the main artists to enjoy it in full (as it is a bit eclectic).
