A little treasure at Friuli
Jan 2020 • Business
Sacile is a little hidden treasure near Pordenone, the baby sister of Venice in miniature with its small channels, the green balconies on the river, the numerous little bridges and the narrow arched curved like snake streets!

Beautiful church, interesting paintings and frescoes with a surprising optic effect. Ancient crucifix and pipe organ.

slow visit
Jan 2019 • Family
It deserves a slow visit. Let be introduced by a local guide to appreciate the architecture, the fresco and the canvas paintings. Sit back and liten to the organ, if possible.

Great place. For the time being I don’t live far away... The town promotes frequent cultural activities and markets. Worth visiting.

Italia in 'small' :)
Dec 2017 • Business
You must love this small city and its alleys, small bridges and all 'secret' passages! :)
Il Duomo is in it central position and 'take care' of city from above. it is quite big and it is old!

Bigger then anticipated
Jul 2017 • Family
This place was far bigger than first anticipated, given the size of the city it is quite big and worth stopping for a look.

Typical

It was a surprise for me to visit such a peaceful typical Italian style village. Duomo is spectacular in the center, near the river. Calm experience good pizza and average prices.

Sacile Giardino della Serenissima
Apr 2017 • Family
Sacile is one of the most wonderful place I see on Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Small city but so nice to walk across the road where you will be continuously in the midle of the Livenza river.
So green and special place.
A special a event is the Sagra degli osei where you find so many animals and so good foods.
If you come to Friuli don't miss Sacile !!

Beautiful Church
Aug 2016 • Family
The cathedral was erected in the late fifteenth century on the site of the original Cathedral that was built in the 9th Century. The Cathedral shows the influence of contemporary Venetian architecture. The outside is in excellent shape but I agree with the other reviews that the inside was never fully restored.

...15th century...
Jul 2016 • Friends
certainly a lovely church. a bit spartan. given its age i can't help but believe it must have suffered substantial damage thru war or some other disaster and its interior never brought back to its original highly decorated state.
