On a low tide this is amazing

We arrived finally at this beach at low tide and the beach was just huge and fun to walk along. Despite the freezing weather it was great to see all the boats stuck in the sand/mud. It was also great to see the tidal swimming pool. There is a huge water level when high tide occurs and the waves can even lap the broad walk.

Surpassed our expectations . Initially thought we were booking in Dinard but having seen Dinard we are far happier with St Lu (as it's also known !) . Two excellent beaches, it's on GR 34 , headland walks, a beautiful 'cross' headland with restaurant/sea views, small but perfect village, photo heaven ! It's only 10 minutes to Dinard & 15k to St Malo and 1 hour to Mt Saint Michel. We'll be back ! 😉

Beautiful, peaceful & clean

The kids loved it here. At low tide there is so much space for them to have fun. The yacht club is at one end of the beach so our boys enjoyed watching the tractors pulling boats down to the sea. There are handy loos at the boat club end of the beach and cliff walks at the other end. Not many tourists around - seems a but quieter than a lot of the more easterly beaches so was worth driving at extra 10km or so to get here.

Nice, large beach at low tide in charming little bay
Jul 2015 • Family
It's not that easy to find good beaches in this area but since we read about this beach on Tripadvisor we gave it a try. The bay is charming and at low tide the beach is huge. There are rocks and tidal ponds to explore, as well. Not many facilities: a public restroom and the tourist information up on the boulevard has drinks and ice cream. Parking can get crowded. We parked in the street between the two churches (free parking everywhere along the streets, as far as we could tell), it was a 5 minute walk from there (not counting the walk from the promenade to the actual water :)).

Great beach
Aug 2013
We travelled in our motorhome this summer and decided to make a stop in Saint lunaire. Had the best time here. Great location, gorgeous beach, rock pools, best ice cream and cafe on the beach; everyone meets there at night. We will be back
