Loved the visit -- the grapes are some of Argentines oldest, the wines are excellent -- I buy their Amalaya regularly -- and the black rocked desert surroundings are fantastic. The adjacent James Turrell Museum is a must-see if you're a fan of his work,...More

First we toured the James Terrell museum. I didn’t care for the exhibit that much as modern/contemporary art is not my thing. We went on the tour of the wine production and it is like most any other wine tour anywhere. We were on a...More

Colome vineyards are located on the Northwestern corner of Salt Province, and span 6900 through 9300 feet in altitude. These are the world's highest vineyards. The Hess company has done what noone else has thought possible, and are producing very high quality wines, especially Torrontes,...More

The drive there is fun, the food was excellent (the homemade Dulce De Leche was very special) and the James Turrell art works were (literally) mind blowing (ever stood on the edge of Infinity?). Make sure to book the gallery tour as they do not...More

This is the furthest I've ever driven to get to a single winery. We drove from Salta over to Cachi and then Molinos. You absolutely need to allow time for the drive across - it's spectacular scenery and you don't want to be rushing through...More

Going to this place you are crossing impressive canyons with breathtaking views. Surrounded by vineyards this bodega and restaurant offers a good selection of wine and a small but delicious selection of dishes. Don't miss to visit the museum!!!

We called in at Colome after reading good things about it, and the small fact it produces wine from the highest vineyards in the world! We'd driven down from Cafayate which was a long, but excellent drive for the scenery and windy dirt road (not...More
