This is located a few miles from Shrewsbury; there is a reasonable sized car park, and a ticket office with a friendly custodian. There is a souvenir shop that sells drinks and snacks, and there are toilets. Only part of the city, which was the fourth largest in England at one time, is excavated, and there are only a few... Fascinating place to see with helpful staff. Wish there was more uncovered as the extent of the site is huge. The reconstruction of the villa is a great insight to the past

Driving down to Shrewsbury we literally stumbled upon this amazing English heritage Roman bath, staffs were really friendly, great souvenir in the shop but of course the hidden gem was the Roman bath ruins. We're so glad we stopped & listened to the audio tapes which is always so handy. Would've been better if there're more signage approaching the place... More

We had anticipated that there would be more to see at this site, but with the aid of an audioguide, we enjoyed our visit and learnt a lot about this site and its rise and downfall. Without the audioguide, I think we would have been lost and have had little understanding. The recreated roman house was interesting and there was... More

A brilliant place to spend some time, can be a cold wind blowing across the site, if it is a nice warm day it takes some beating, there is a replica house built across the road which is worth a look.

We are members of English heritage so visiting a lot of these sites. It's very interesting and you can have an audio guide. Staff friendly and helpful and a well stocked shop. We love the all butter raspberry curd

Firstly I would like to say how friendly & helpful the staff were. We went mainly to see the Roman Villa which was at the centre of a TV series. It certainly gave one a clear insight as to how the better off Romans lived. The information boards were adequate but more information, pictures etc. about each room would enhance... More

Remnants of Roman city. Some interesting remains that are a very small part of what they believe was one of the biggest cities in Roman England. Very good audio tour included in the admission fee. Re-created Roman villa on the other side of the road.
