Nobody knows horses like Stan. And hospitality family business. The Cowleys have run some of the most exotic and ambitious multinight trail holidays ... genuine outfitters ...

We went for a trail ride in August 2016. Our guide was awesome! The staff were really friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and gave confidence to me as I hadn't ridden for a long time. The horses!! Well cared for, very happy and content. The trail ride was the best experience we had over 5 weeks in North America. The scenery was... More

Great trail ride on Sheriff with Phaedra as guide. Rode through Bow Valley Provincial Park. She's bilingual . Horses are beautiful and gentle. Plus learned a lot of history from her.

I've been to Rafter 6 ranch quite a few times and I'm a huge fan. Rustic and barebones where it counts- it lets you and your group focus on reconnecting with each other and ignore the outside world. Be warned there aren't televisions, the pool never seems to be up and running, and there is no liquor store around... but,... More

It was sad to see the total ranch divided into two parts and staff were still full of happiness. Trades were not what I would enjoy but it was not about me. I never been out there around the area but I am sure the trails would not have to be back tracked. The staff were funny and full of... More

We spent the morning out at Rafter 6 and had a excellent trail ride. Two of the riders had never been on a horse before and the guides are great with them, patiently answering all of the questions they had and getting them comfortable on their horses. The trail ride itself was amazing, going through an area that really showcased... More

We were staying in Banff and exploring half day riding options with our concierge. I mentioned that we had riden on many trail rides, but were somewhere between beginners and intermediate. A cattle drive and a ride on a beach allowed us to have more flexibility with pace and controlling the horse. He quicly dismissed the typical "nose to tail"... More

My daughter and I travelled to Canmore for my bday and the highlight was our visit to this ranch. We booked a trail ride for the two of us and received an amazing trail ride with beautiful horses and excellent guide. Can't wait to go back!

They were very relaxed and patient. Knowledgeable and kind people. We felt like we could have spent the day with them as friends. The horses were well trained and the experience was incredible for me my wife and son. If passing through canmore, its a great way to spend an hour.

We drove up hoping to do the rope course only to find out that it is closed. The facility is up for sale, so I'm assuming that if it sells it will reopen.
