Nice beach not to busy, but few amenities, nice to swim and probably due to the bay the water is quite warm.

In May 2016 we had the beach to our selves, great for safe swimming, sunbathing, stroll on the beach, read a book, perfect peaceful place for a holiday.

This island has had to endure so much hardship over last two years, with tourist bookings down 70%, I feel I owe them, for many a fantastic holiday I've had there. I love Lesvos, especially the little resort of Skala Kallonis. I'm so looking forward...More

The beach nearest Aegeon Hotel is very natural with small trees and bushes and the locals tend to go there in the evening to swim and have BBQs and picnics. As you wander further, sun loungers begin to appear opposite Hotels and when you reach...More

The water is quite shallow but can have sea grass/seaweed in places. You can walk in either direction from Skala Kalloni and if you walk towards where the sea goes inland keep your eyes open for a couple of dolphins that had come into the...More

There are some really good restaurants in Skala Kaloni...but I think the best is Dionysos...where the waiter remembers which dishes you particularly enjoyed on your last visit...even if it was six months or a year ago....The fish is very fresh...chips excellent...and the Tarama Salad so...More

A large sandy beach with us beds to hire at reasonable rates and bars close by. Restaurants with excellent food choices and hospitality where ever you choose to go.

Very sheltered bay so the sea is very calm and the water is very shallow. On the downside, the water could be cleaner, the sand as well (cigarette butts etc). Parking next to the beach. Fairly large playground on the other side of the road.

The beach in Skala Kallonis is good, the place is very nice to swim. But the area around the harbour is a great garbage belt, with al lot of filth in the water. What a shame for such a beautiful Island.

Excellent sandy beach. A must see at Lesbos. Ideal for kids. Many restaurants to choose. Free chairs and umbrellas if you buy something from the cafe or restaurant above.

We had heard the same things about the beach but found it to be quite clean. No cigarette butts or animal poo. That was October 2015. Lovely resort as long as you don't want anything more than quiet friendly and unspoilt... More
Hello Kalloni Bay lovers, Me and my fiancee are spending 2 weeks in Malemi hotel, stsrting July 24th. Since I have been reading the reviews of the beach there in skala kallonis, however, we are definitely not a pool-at-the-seaside users, we would really appreciate if you could share a few pieces of advice where to go to find any good beaches nearby... The first week we'll be mainly chillin, but the second, we are also going to explore the rest of the island... So, any suggestions for the kalloni bay beaches that can be accesse on foot or by bike, besides the main beach, that is supposed to be dirty? Is it really in that bad state?! Thanks, Katja

Dear Katja The beach is not really dirty, the sand is a greyish colour so not so attractive, but the water is really clear. The Hotel Malemi has an area on the beach at the end of the road from the hotel with sun beds... More
