I haven't found more about this 17th century relic which would make it more interesting. There were lots of uniformed tourist officials but none could speak enough English to give us any information about its history.
The place was very far away from the city. It took 1 hour drive from Jepara City Center and you must use GPS to find this place because you will get lost when you don't.

Talk about disgusting, this place is the pitts. There is rubbish all over the place with lots of flies and it stinks.
I was worried my kids were going to cut themselves on some of the filthy trash and broken glass.

Finally had a chance to visit this Fort.
Be there with the kids, they had a good time. Running around and play.
But, this place need to clean it up. All the tourist leave their trash all over the place.
