Worth seeing
Mar 2020 • Family
Very lovely place 10 min drive from Maspalomas paying respects to the first inhabitants of the island.
Lots of interesting expositions and staff is so nice that I was in awe. On top of the visit you have lovely views like in Grand Canyon, coffee or tea in the ticket and a very affordable tasty huge smoothie :)

A reconstruction of Guanche life prior to the Spanish arriving in 14th Century
Feb 2020
Pre booked tickets, ample car parking and shop, cafe and a restaurant. You walk an anti-clockwise tour to see 27 reconstructions, let’s get one thing strait about the figures if you are expecting Madame Tussaud figures you are in for a disappointment due to the altitude, sun and wind mannequins are used.

Also if you have mobility issues the trail is on gravel and small slabs of rock and some of the ascents and descents might be difficult. There is a small craft and cafe outside which is reasonably priced.

A wonderful escape to the past of these fascinating people
Dec 2019
The site was lovingly reconstructed, with true insight into the lives of the Aborigines who lived here. We walked round the village reading the descriptions of life there. Having a coffee looking over the surrounding hills afterwards completed a very enjoyable experience. A leisurely visit takes about 2-3 hours. Wear stout shoes and take a camera.

Loved it!
Nov 2019
It was very quiet when we went. Lovely to get away from the bustle by the sea. Its an odd place but I really enjoyed the beautiful views and walking round seeing the flowers and hearing birds and imagining the way of life in the village. I loved the animals too. There is a lovely cafe just outside the entrance with great views down to the coast.

Great place to learn

Great open-air museum to visit if you’re on Gran Canaria! Gives a lot of information about the island’s history and the figurines make the visit even more exciting.

Easy to get to from Maspalomas, way before the serpentines that are further inland.

Do the cafe then leave
Aug 2019 • Couples
The cafe was great, clean, reasonably priced, clean toilets and seriously friendly staff. The waiter asked where we were from and then went and put on loud English music. Bless. The views are great, the rest is still overpriced and frankly boring.

Beautiful setting and well worth a visit!!
May 2019 • Couples
Despite a couple of visits in the past to the island we have never seen this speciality museum so decided on a visit one day. So pleased we did as it is a must for anyone wanting to know anything about the native Guanche.

The place is set like a village with breathtaking views across the landscape and there are numerous explanatory boards telling the history of this settlement.

The entrance fee was very reasonable and we spent a good length of time. The upkeep of the place is great and they even have pigs, goats and more to show the farming side on the settlement. Great place!!

Also there is a cafe next to it that serves all sorts and the entrance ticket allows you a free tea, coffee or water too!!

Reconstruction of an ancient Canarian village
May 2019 • Couples
It was a surprise to visit such a fantastic place surrounded with fantastic views of the Fataga. This village is devoted to the Guanche way of life. It was really very interesting but also very big. Take atleast 3 to 4 hours if you want to go through the whole park.
Enjoy the views and in the end you can have a free drink in the cafeteria.
