Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This house right next to the cathedral offers a unique opportunity to see what life was like in the past couple of centuries in Gran Canaria. The house also hosts a collection of carriages in its shack at the back. It's a great place for kids too!
Don't forget to make a donation to keep up the maintenance of the house (which has recently suffered from a water damage from the roof).

this place was a nice little jewel. the house is furnished with 18th to mid 20th furniture, from the owners belonging. The house is gorgeous and worthy a visit even just for its structure and prettiness. Furthermore, the actual furniture make it seems a... "giant" dollhouse. it is very interesting also to see tools and objects from the day-to-day life in previous centuries. only negative thing: there are no labels describing such objects and people may not be able to understand what some items were for (especially young people). This probably make the place more like a showroom than a museum.

This is an unusual find. The aristocratic owner (now dead) who arranged the museum in one of his family's homes was hereditary patron (or some such) of the Feast of Sta Maria of the Pines (to whom the Cathedral is dedicated). It's all rather dusty and delightful. Few, if any, of the pictures are valuable, and many are in poor condition, and nor is the furniture much, but the ensemble is attractive and the house itself quite wonderful (in a modest way). One doesn't find many museums like this and a visit there cheered up (yet another) dreary day in awful Gran Canaria.
