Nice place to stop, the inside of the basilica is quite, but majestic. It makes you calm. There is also an enormous tree infront, that we liked a lot

Most of the churches on Gran Canaria were disappointing and this was no exception. The church looks impressive from a distance, but not too much to see from close up or from the inside. It is clearly intended for purpose and for the locals rather...More

We visited Teror and this basilica today. They are both nice to visit. We had some background info on the inside of the basilica, what always helps 😃.

You have the see the adoration of the Virgin of the pines. Photos not allowed so you’ll need to visit it for yourself. But it takes your breath away when you round the corner. Traditional Catholic Church so dress accordingly.

The Basilica de la Virgen del Pino is the centerpiece of the small town of Teror in Gran Canaria. Everything about Teror is worth visiting, including this beautiful church. It may not be as grand a scale as other churches in Europe and the Canaries,...More

Couldn't get into the church, it was being cleaned, the doors were open and we did get peek at beautiful interior. The town itself is lovely, really just the one main street with pretty buildings and some nice little shops. Worth taking the effort to...More
