As another reviewer has said, Teror is more than the Basilica, though that is a very interesting place to visit there. Teror is a very pleasant small town in the hills. Take the blue bus #216 from the main bus station in Las Palmas. it...More

One of the most beautifull churces in Gran Canaria. Nice little town up in the mountains. Stroll in the alles, visit the shops. Do not miss the cheese store close to the basilika. How ever have in mind the siesta! Both shops and the basilica...More

Unexpectedly high in the mountains but a really lovely town. It's significantly cooler here than lower down so dress accordingly - the air is moist and you feel like you're in the clouds. Rained while we were here a little, for the Sunday market. The...More

You have the see the adoration of the Virgin of the pines. Photos not allowed so you’ll need to visit it for yourself. But it takes your breath away when you round the corner. Traditional Catholic Church so dress accordingly.

Couldn't get into the church, it was being cleaned, the doors were open and we did get peek at beautiful interior. The town itself is lovely, really just the one main street with pretty buildings and some nice little shops. Worth taking the effort to...More

Quite a large basilica in the centre of Teror, Romanesque in style, a large silver and gold statue at the heart of the building. A good way to get out of the sun and get some peace for a few minutes.
