Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Don’t go there with your car!! A group of local thieves had a good booming business at the car park for a few years. There was at least 30 google reviewers here mentioned their car are being forced into and valuable stuffs being stolen at the higher parking place near the tower. The local police give the green lights to this friend business, they don’t even want to file a criminal report. This group of thieves are from the local, one guy at “Mirador de El Colomer” and find out the best target car (if you open your boots with some luggage or bag), he will tell his coworker at the top tower. If you drive up to the tower and park the car 200 meters from the top, a guy hidden somewhere will fly a drone around on your head to monitor if you come back. 2 guys(normal a couple) will take pictures around you, if you move back to your car they will ask you to take pictures or try to block your slights. Another 2 guys are responsible to open your car and move everything to their car and drove away in maximum 3 mins. Don’t go there with a car or go there without a weapon at hand.

The views are amazing but before you go to the tower there are guys watching you, so WE WERE ROBBED, they forced the car and took all our money because they know which are the rented cars cause required by law you need to put the contract visible, they left the things in order so when we went to drop off the car they realised the Door and roof were damaged and had to pay for the damage of the car on top of all our money. Better take the bus. This is a perfect trap for tourists even as full of people as it was. We are not going to Mallorca again.

This place is easy to access and the view is awesome. If you want something more and extra visit the Far de Formentor, which has a 'vow' effect! :-)

From the observation deck there is a great view of the sea and the nearby mountains. However, parking is a bit of a nightmare and it is reached by a very steep road.

We drove, couldn’t get up mountain road at first as closed, but came back about 3pm and open. First stop off was the view point, absolutely stunning. Parking free and walk about 5-10mins to the view point.
Next stop was the car park (car park far de formentor) where you can access either beach or take bus up to the lighthouse/cape. Car park expensive, we spent 1.5hrs for around 7 euros. but max amount is 20 euros . Bus to cape cheap, think 1.80 euros. Bus ride was really good with great views.
Think next time would park at the bottom in the town of port de pollenca and get bus all the way up.
To mention some people couldn’t get back on the bus at Cala figuera back down, bus too full from the cape.
Great trip, oils recommend

Don’t miss this stop. The views are amazing. From here you can see Pollenca as well as the prettiest part of the cape.

The water is so blue the photos look unreal.

Even with small children, it is possible (not with kinder trolley). Cheap thanks to the local buses.

We visited Mirador de Es Colomer on May 6th, 2022 mid-day (around noon). We were on our way to Cap Formentor - little did we know that you couldn't actually drive all the way to the lighthouse!

Parking isn't plentiful but we managed to snag the first angled parking spot right away. We didn't realize at the time that there were so many great paths (cement, with steps) leading you further and further out but we wouldn't have been able to really do them anyway, due to having our twin not-even-two-years-old toddlers with us. We didn't go any farther than Głaz hołdu Antonio Parietti Coll. There's really not many places to easily or safely stop along this road so I'm glad we stopped for a snack break when we did.

We visited Mallorca in December, best period of the year to see the island without tourists, with perfect weather, around 20C.
On our way to Cap Formentor, there is this viewpoint, or photo point they call it. Absolutely amazing with the tall cliffs underneath you, Cap Formaentor in the background, seagulls as small as ants at sea level.
Absolutely worth visiting!

Beautiful view BUT!!! €80 fine arrived today from a drive up there at 7.40 on September 6th.
We knew we had to take a bus to Formentor( which we did the next night) but no where could we see about driving from Pollensa to Mirador.
So beware!
