The castle is an hour's drive from Stockholm by car. The castle has a large free parking. The castle itself, although it does not look large, will take 2-3 hours to inspect and it is definitely worth of visiting.

The castle is nice but the guidance thru the castle is very boring after 10 minutes. They could make in more attractive if they want more tourist to visit the castle. Also the gardens around the caste could be much better. Bernie's Worldwide Travel Experience

About 70-80 rooms in the castle, really nice atmosphere. Loved the theater inside. So many paintings and portraits as the castle has one of the biggest collections of portrait in the world.

Most of the castles outside of the cities are closed starting September. Plan your trip carefully.
How do I get there; other than driving? Can I use the SL transport card to get there?
