Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Small castle recently renovated. First visit at 6pm, at least for the whole tourist season.
Beautiful castle and its history beautifully illustrated by Elena, the Guide, but the real gem is the superb view that sweeps without interruption from the plain of Pisa (it is said that on particularly clear days you can spot the Tower of Piazza dei Miracoli, up to Livorno and along the coast to the islands of Portovenere, Tinetto, Tino and Palmaria, passing by the mouth of the Magra.
Inside the walls there is also a small dining center to combine business with pleasure with mixed vegetarian and non-vegetarian cutting boards and good wine selection.
If you can do as we do: enter at the opening of 18, visit with Elena, the Guide, about 45 minutes; book a table for the aperitif and from there wait for the sunset...
