Kasmu Chapel
About
The village of Kasmu is home to a wooden chapel, erected using money donated by the villagers in 1863. The surrounding cemetery is the final resting place of more than 30 sea captains who brought prominence to the village. The cemetery has one of Estonia’s most beautiful monuments, erected by a Captain Tiedemann in memory of his most beloved daughter Signe, who died at a young age. Made in Finland from cast metal, the monument was completed in 1937.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is at the cemetery quite big building. Wasn’t the favorite place. But it could be interesting. Especially for history lovers.

The chapel gave a very authentic feeling of how the local community has congregated around it for many years before tourists had first arrived in Kasmu. Nice place where to stop for a minute!

This lovely chapel dating many hundreds of years back has been renovated. Its 18th century organ is an absolute treasure.

A very small chapel with one of the oldest organs in Estonia and an interesting and beautiful family memorial in the cemetery.

This little chapel is worth a visit if you are in Kasmu as it's very pretty. I couldn't get inside the church but the graveyard is interesting with it's iron crosses.
