Nice local producta

Great market with local products. Looking for mojo and wine? You'll find it here. Don't know about the local art though.

This market is open on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. I was expecting and hoping for a genuine farmer's market where we could discover interesting local products unavailable elsewhere and fresh produce sold by the people who grow it. Sadly, this is just a tourists' market. Half of the hall is taken up with leather bags, tacky jewellery and... More

This is the place to be on Saturdays and Sundays on La Palma. Lots of food stalls, including cheeses (visit Doris, who has won best cheesemaker on the island), anti-pasti, canarian bakers (try the pineapple upside down cake), german patisserie (try the apple strudel) and more. There's also fresh vegetables, fruit and butchers. There are stalls selling cigars rolled in... More

Fun experience. A bustling farmers market with a good range of foods and gifts. Worth a visit to soak up the local atmosphere.

Just a scruffy little market with very little that you would want to buy! There are not a huge amount of stalls but they sell from meat and cheese to jewellery made out of recycled plastic. Unless you are just stopping here on the way to somewhere else I really wouldn't recommend going to it!

Part of an island tour, we visited this little market.Outside across the road was a beautiful wooded area with benches and tables for picnics, and also a BBQ area. Very pretty area. There are some view points where you can walk to the end and look down into the valley, they also have a glass area at the end where... More

It's not a large market but is a well-presented collection of stalls of local produce with a nice local 'buzz'. All indoors when we visited in March but I would guess that the fairly large outside area is utilised later in the season. We enjoyed a visit on a Sunday morning and bought local goat's cheese, olives, honey, a jar... More

Sat and sun have the same stalls. The queso crudo excellent as is the meat, fresh produce, honey and bread. The cakes were certainly popular although we didn't try the. Everything sold there must be local. Some interesting local crafts too. Well worth a visit. Think it is 3-7 Saturday's and 11-3 Sunday's.

More than just a market, this place is a social gathering spot where all the rural residents come together on Saturday afternoons. There are events like chess competitions and cheese tasting contests. Outside are personal stalls, like a car-boot sale. There'll often be some musicians playing simply for fun. Inside stalls include fruit, vegetables, meat, cheese, wine, cakes, and arts... More
