The gardens are stunning and a very enjoyable visit. The Avoca cafe is closed and a take away deli and a coffee truck offered instead. The premade sandwiches were nice at around e7 each but disappointingly there is no kids food option. No plain cheese or chicken sandwich for example.…

We always call in here for a walk when near Ashford and the gardens were looking well this weekend. Shame the Avoca cafe hasn't reopened for some lunch afterwards.

The gardens are really beautiful with a magnificent range of trees and shrubs. Well worth a visit. The outdoor seating area for the Avoca cafe is lovely but it is such a pity the service offered in the cafe is so poor - one self-service machine with queues taking up to 15-20 mins. Another outdoor coffee stall seems to open at certain times at the weekend.…
