    Pleasant and calming
Very nice visit here. Beautiful walk around following the recommended route, a lot of the walk is riverside, so different to a lot of other gardens. Some amazing trees, beautiful hydrangeas all very picturesque and not appearing busy ie plenty of space. Ten Euro entry probably about right but Gardeners world 241 card works if you have one. Spent about an hour and half walking around. Did I read no dogs, even better.

    Great day out.
Worth every penny. Excellent trails clearly marketed with lots of plant information available along the way. Good facilities on site. Would be great to visit during spring/summer/autumn to see the full spectrum of the displays on offer. Well worth a second visit.

    Truly Magical
This place is so magical! We stayed actually inside Mount Usher Gardens in the founders original home. Katherine welcomed us and made us feel very much at home. Our bedroom had the most exquisite and breathtaking views over the botanical gardens which have to be seen to be believed. We slept very comfortably.. everything was immaculate, hot shower, tea and coffee available in the room. The breakfast provided was outstanding with homemade breads and either homemade muesli or fresh fruit salad followed by scrambled eggs with either mushrooms or bacon. If you're wanting to visit the stunning Wicklow region, make sure you stay at the Mount Usher Gardens...you definitely won't be disappointed.

The gardens are lovely. I was there with my 96 year old mum so we used her wheelchair. The walks and surfaces are not very wheelchair friendly. It is a pity because it would not take much to bring them up to an acceptable standard. It was a disappointing day that we had been looking forward to for so long. Could do better.

When I gtold my friend that we were coming down to Naas for a few days and were going to visit the Japanese Gardens at the National Stud, his wife said "Don't miss Mount Ober Gardens" as they superb.
We have just been to see them, and spent the afternoon enjoying this absolute Gem.If you are anywhere near Ashford make time to visit.

Beautiful gardens with an amazing variety of mature trees. The winding 'tree trail' allowed us to see specimens from across the world. The gardens are very mature, well tended and a delight at every turn. Criss-crossing the river provides ever changing views. If you love gardens you will adore Mount Usher. we went in early August - plenty of summer colour and judging by the planting schemes Spring and Autumn would be equally impressive - the trees in Autumn in particular. There is a nice array of shops on site and a decent sized plant sales area with a wide variety of plants, trees and shrubs. The gardens are not huge - you will amble around the tree trail in about an hour - take your time to stop, sit and look.
