Skelligs Chocolate is a family run business overlooking the magnificent Skelligs Rocks, on the south west coast of Ireland. Our factory opened its doors in 1996, consisting of two little production rooms; one for making chocolate and the other for packaging. The factory has since expanded to a state of the art production facility with adjoining cafe which serves delicious hot chocolate, tea, coffee and homemade treats. With the only open plan chocolate production facility in Ireland, we encourage you to call in to see our chocolate being made, taste the delicious treats and ask the friendly staff all about where chocolate comes from and how it is made.

We went here in August 2014 (This date wasn't available on the list below as it was soooo long ago)! It was perfectly placed halfway round the Ring of Kerry as if that wasn't beautiful enough on it's own! I remember the fabulous chocolate shoes! We bought loads of bars and bags including some no added sugar chocolate. Yummm

Visited Skelligs Chocolate Factory in August 2016,which is one of our must do when in Kerry. Chocolate was fabulous as usual. Staff were friendly ,knowledgeable and fun...not something every business can boast!! Came away with loads which lasted a nano second when back in UK...Ordered some chocolate for Christmas on 5/12/16 and it arrived at H/A in UK by 9/12/16,with... More

Driving through the area and planned a stop here. Great decision. One is able to watch chocolates being made while sampling a variety of tasty treats. A bag of the thin dark chocolates didn't last too long, as they were soooo good. Wow. Thank you!

We just managed to get in before they started closing up. They still took the time to give us free samples, all of which were amazing. We ended up spending quite a lot because it was all so delicious

We stopped at the factory on our trip through the Skellig Ring. It was a nice change of pace during the full day car tour. It was a nice touch as the workers gave us samples to taste. We walked away with some our holiday shopping done!

We arrived late in the day and were the only patrons (at that moment). The staff tempted us with free samples of each of their chocolates - milk chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate, each offered a hint of some tastebud tempting flavor, including Irish whiskey, strawberry champagne, citrus and other amazing flavors. The chocolate was incredible!!! Just as we... More

While driving along the Ring of Kerry on a very rainy and blustery day, we decided that an indoor stop to escape the foul weather was needed. This shop was unbelievably busy, likely due to the weather. I enjoyed getting to taste the various chocolates that they had to sample and hear about the chocolate-making process. It is impossible to... More

There are some fantastic chocolate creations here; it's incredible what they can do with a seemingly simple ingredient/staple. I love the welcoming atmosphere here and that you get free tastings of the chocolate they are currently making - this definitely helps in deciding which treat to bring home. I hope to visit again with friends to show them this local... More
