Stayed in the Kilbracken Arm Hotel on Saturday night was not good. Food and staff where lovely but the hotel was like something from the 80's . We paid €80 for a double room ( no Breakfast) which is very dated . Carpets need replacing gone be on cleaning . Given key to room and it would not work had to be giving the cleaners key . Shower and bathroom very old needs replacing . We went out Saturday evening returning around 12 to find front door locked, only a bit of luck that we went around back to find a side door open with the use of a mat holding it open. It say tea making in room, everything but milk . Checking out we where met by a cleaner no one on front desk. We had ask for a room change but where told there was no others but we didn't see anyone else staying. Around very poor place to stay

Picked this spot as it was central for visiting friends. Room was spotless and spacious. Kids loved the bunk beds. Had gorgeous meal in the evening with all guidelines followed. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Lovely peaceful stay with a gorgeous breakfast the next morning. Great location and well worth a visit.

Great atmosphere in a warm and welcoming place.
The food was amazing, I would highly recommend it. The menu had a great variety of dishes and the ones we ordered were all delicious.
Excellent value for money, they even do a 5 course Sunday lunch for less than €20!!

Called in here for the proverbial cup of tea. A classic Irish town pub with wall to wall televisions! It was late afternoon so only one other customer. Tea was grand and the toilets spotlessly clean. I always judge an establishment by the toilets!

Visited this hotel for family gathering and some light Buffett food. Beautiful intimate very well decorated private dining room. Great warm food lovely sandwiches. Very friendly helpful hard working staff. Donal cadden the owner little shy and didn't mingle with guests but helps to check in all ok. Can't beat that personal touch. Lovely bar area. Ideal relaxing space to share with family friends. Good food good price.

Had supper several times and a roast lamb sunday dinner all were superb especially the Tbone steak and trimmings for just under 20euros. The guinness cool and creamy ( in fact the second best in town only bettered by Eugene who has a bar farther up the street on the opposite side)and expertly pulled with a compliment and smily face. An added bonus is that they also provide Sky sports so we were able to watch the Liverpool v Newcastle match whilst eating. If visiting Carrigallen a visit here is highly recommended

When visiting relatives in nearby Aughvas we usually have a meal at the Kilbracken.

We are always warmly welcomed and find the atmosphere very nice.

We usually eat in the bar area so that I can keep up with the football on the TV !

The food is excellent and plentiful.

On my last visit I had the Chicken Goujons and the portion was huge.

My wife and relatives opted for the fish and chips which were very sizable portions!

We will be back.
