We made a beautiful walk. The view on the lakes was stunning and also the walking path along coast is worth visiting.

Great walk in the autumn - terrain is varying and you can decide how difficult it can become. Fantastic views of Hammershus, the hills, the Baltic sea and local sheep and cattle! Always going for a full circle round Hammerknuden when we visit Bornholm. A must do activity. Full circle took us around 3 hours.

we were fortunate enough to be given a "guided tour" by our hosts - the information center on-site showed historical photo blow-ups of the original quarries, and the views along the harbor were breathtaking. worth the scenic drive up there!

Went there in connectin with Salomon Hammer trail, which is a running event. The area surrounding he Hammer hus is very nice for trail running and with a lot of hills. The view is also nice and a walk to the light house can be recommended

The very northern part of the island and the area surrounding the Hammershus castle is a truly amazing place. Because of the lay of the land the area is mostly as nature made it....beautiful and raw! I lived on the island as a child and young adult and return regularly still. As long as I remember I've come here for... More

This is ruins of a 13th century castle built along the bluffs of the Baltic Sea. Now in ruins but once the site of fierce battles, it is Northern Europe's largest medieval castle. There reminds me of Blarney Castle in Ireland. You get a magnificent view of the coast from the north end of the fortress. It has free admission... More

The landscape and view of the water, along with the castle ruins is worth a visit! Also they were doing some restoration to keep things in nice shape for the future.

We had a fantastic trip of almost 2,5 hours, walking all the way closest to the water, up and down in sand, rocks, pebbles and wooden stairs some places. It's a rocky tour, but so worth it. There are sheep and cows in the area, and more places you can get down all the way to the sea - sitting... More
